This is your issue 8/10 times if your air conditioner slowly stopped working or took longer to cool down. My Jetta used to take about three minutes to get going. It took about 5 minutes for it to become cold, and then it simply stopped. The Freon levels were within specification, and we even performed a full evac, vacuum, and charge to ensure there were no leaks and proper Freon levels. This part takes ten minutes to install (AFTER removing the Freon from the system) and should be taken to someone who can vacuum out any trapped air. (If you try to add Freon afterward, you'll overpressurize the system. ) Now the air conditioner turns on immediately and blows at a constant 41 degrees. Even when it's 98 degrees outside and you're stuck in traffic, the vents are 45 degrees.
As I have seen my air conditioning compressor begin acting up a few miles before, my vehicle was supposed to start getting cold because I was told the auto parts store didn't know about the solenoid valve I have.
I bought this one because the other one didn't. Yes, it made my air conditioner very cold. However, make sure to evacuate your system before installing, then vacuum it thoroughly before adding the freon according to your manufacturer's instructions. Mine is a Volkswagen Jetta 2. I'm driving ice cold right now, on the 5th of 2006.
This was installed on a 2007 Jetta with a 2. 0 liter engine. 5 liters, excellent performance.
It's been almost four months since the repair was completed, and everything is still working fine!.
My air conditioning is functioning properly. That is all that needs to be said.
it was successful.
