Selected User Reviews For Motorcraft RS76 Radiator Cap
The Cap on my 1997 Ford Ranger XLT 4 was the proper part for my vehicle, despite Amazon's inaccurate fitment information. A zero-letter code. Before the rubber seal started to crack on the original RS76 cap, it lasted nearly 20 years. There was, however, only a small crack at the rubber seal's edges. Although the cap had not yet ceased to seal properly, I replaced it more out of necessity than out of desire. That's a good product, in my opinion.
Curiosity drove me to test it as soon as I received it. In this experiment, I used a new, known-to-work method I was pleased with Stant's radiator cap tester, which worked perfectly. It is vital that sealing surfaces are moistened and that the appropriate adapter is used. Originally, this cap would have been blowing off around 16psi but then would have fallen to 13-psi after several weeks of use Stay at number 14 throughout the day. After that, you were unable to get it to hold more than 13 no matter what you did. Honestly, I don't think it will work too well for the application, but I wouldn't bother with an OEM-quality Motorcraft. If I had known, I would have avoided it by purchasing a basic Motorad or Murray in the local parts shop.
The following line follows The engine code for the 6 engine is You can get the same genuine Motorcraft 16 lb radiator cap that you would normally get from a dealer for less money by purchasing it from us. Parts made for motorcraft are generally more expensive, but their quality and performance are unparalleled by any other. I tend to save between 20 and 25 percent by shopping Amazon Each part is 30 percent more expensive at O'Reilly than at a dealer. I was informed by another reviewer that my cap came with a sticker on top, but mine was that way when I received it in 2003, and my sticker still looked as good as it did on the day I purchased it. Not a redesign, this replacement cap replaces my original cap from the factory in the exact same manner. The cap needed to be replaced because the rubber seal on the coolant side was worn out. I've used a few nonmotorcraft OEM style parts in the past but overall I'm more satisfied with the original Motorcraft part if it's available since they usually last twice as long. No mention of the country of origin can be found on the package or on the cap, along with the absence of the country in the original one. It refers as only to the USA, in the sense that the box is stamped with the country name. Originally equipped with a 2003 Ford Ranger Edge 3, this part fit that model. Check the fitment code to ensure it fits your particular vehicle. It also fits many models other than that of the U-coded engine. This seller was recommended to me and I will use them again if the need arises.
I am able to fit my 2000 Ford Ranger with this product. I retired my old radiator cap after 20 years of service because it was worn out. In addition to replacing the original, there was no need for a direct Motorcraft I think it will be another twenty.
Replacement part for Perfect Motorcraft A similar process to that of The NAPA cap and AutoZone cap I bought were aftermarket caps. work nicely, but neither did exactly what it was supposed to do. I didn't let coolant out of the radiator to overflow the reservoir or put it back in the radiator after it overflowed. Caps like this one from Motorcraft are reliable. This is exactly what I was looking for. Besides the good price, the item is well made.
It had blown out the plastic tip of the previous radiator, so I replaced it with one from the stock collection. A few minutes later, he burst out again. Research has shown that the 18 psi cap stock with the system is too strong for the plastic stock- It was recommended that a 16 psi cap be installed on the top radiator. In the past, I have not experienced any problems with the radiator since having replaced the cap with one of these 16psi ones.
Part comes in a Motorcraft box. It is an authentic Motorcraft part. I ordered a replacement NAPA radiator aftermarket and it fit The Ford dealer offers a much better price than this.
During the retrofit, the old cap's cooler seal was warped and leaked. There is no need to worry about what Amazon says since this is the correct cap for a 2010 Ford Raptor. There is no doubt about it since Ford parts It works like a charm.
