On my '91 Jeep Cherokee, I installed it when I flushed the coolant, since the gasket in my old one was beginning to crack. A good fit was achieved, and the new one looked similar to the old one. After that, my engine overheated due to all the coolant spraying out. Water refilled the cooling system and it simply sprayed out quickly from under the cap, not going to the overflow tank. I let it warm up, and it now sprays out in small streams. My heart ached because it wouldn't seal around the radiator neck, even if I could see nothing wrong with it. to pick up another new cap and a couple of gallons of coolant, and at this point I pretty much had to re-do the whole job. My Amazon refund was applied to this item, but I still ended up spending close to $40 on antifreeze and a cap from Napa to get my Jeep running normally once more.
It is a lever cap that I bought to replace one that was broken. Despite the seal, air got into the radiator through the lever cap. The solution of the lever cap would ensure that liquid from the overflow tank does not return to the radiator under vacuum. Once you turn this on, the coolant will return to the radiator to keep it Because there’s no lever, you can’t release pressure when hot, but really, how often does one need to release pressure?.
I have a Porsche 944 with a pressure of 13 psi, but that pressure is not enough. It would be better if you got a cap with 16 psi. Coolant is pushed out of my car's tank when its head becomes so hot that the coolant boils and burns out.
I found the quality to be very good, and the parts work well. Additionally, the spring is more resistant to the push than the autozone cap I was using a few days ago. Added I used to have a tiny leak at the gasket as well. This cap sealed up the leak when it was put on. The gasket of the autozone cap failed to handle the radiator pressure, resulting in the leak through the cap.
I've got a 92 Ford F150, and it fits perfect.
A 1996 Ford Ranger with a 2 liter engine was purchased for this. The third level. My purchase was made after I entered my vehicle and saw the "Yes, this fits your vehicle" message. There is no fit for this. A diameter of this size is too large.
The system does the job.
I expected it to fit.
