I had an accident once where the clamp that clamps the cap onto the filler neck didn't catch on one side. I realized it only when I noticed steam coming from under the hood and burnt coolant smelling. My old cooler (Stand) was only older, better quality and made in the USA, so it would have made more sense to just use it. Coolant spewed everywhere, and all over the hot exhaust pipe. I should have just used my old one. I was hoping for something that looked decent, but when it arrived it read assembled in Mexico, not made in USA, as the picture on Amazon indicates. Despite not using it yet, I can't comment on its quality.
I bought a new cap due to venting in the previous In the same way, I was venting. The cooling system also had a cap that is 20PSI and not venting. I purchased an expansion tank to update the cooling system. Once it was sealed up, I used this cap as a section to connect the expansion tank and a swing check to allow the system to draw from the overflow tank at the same time.
In the spring of last year, I replaced my radiator and installed a motorad st-18 rad cap. It was then that I heard a water flushing, gurgling, waterfall sound that I replaced the rad cap with this Stant 10335 rad cap. Having installed this Stant rad cap, I am very happy that noise has been eliminated.
Having not run the car yet, I won't be able to say how well it works, but it's just some radiator cap you're getting. I found the price to be very reasonable, and the radiator fit perfectly.
Despite the fact that the OEM part was supposed to be 18-inch, I bought and installed this on my Polaris snowmobile This is 21 pounds per square inch. The air pressure release mechanism seems to work as it should so far no problems with it I don't want any leaks. Please let us know if this product is the right fit for your application. This is a great purchase!.
We will not use any other type of cap. This is cheap compared to the local stores. I am so glad you like it!.
In the course of doing a tune up on my 05 Dodge Durango Hemi, I decided to replace the radiator cap at the same time. I prefer the radiator caps that release pressure before opening. It's much safer and there won't be any As I have used Slant caps previously on other cars, I opted for one I had previously used on another car.
