It's impossible for me to be A cap like this has a pressure limit of 18psi, and I used it on a Cadillac Northstar engine, but I think the chevy small block uses one with a pressure limit of 14psi. It is a good idea to read the reviews before purchasing. It should be possible to check the pressure, etc., at Autozone or a store like that.

As the engine is heated, expanded and excess coolant is forced into the coolant bottle from the radiator, but as the engine cools down, the coolant cannot be sucked back into the radiator again. During these weeks, the engine coolant gets progressively lower until it is as low as it can get, and so as not to allow the engine to expel any coolant into the coolant bottle even when it is running As a result, hot spots form inside the engine where there is no coolant. There is nothing good about this.
An obstructed thermostat or a damaged radiator cap was determined to be the cause of the problem. Since the dealership would have charged me $30 for the same thing, I opted for this one. I found a solution to the problem! It has a lever to release hot steam and is a great radiator cap.
The V8 engine has a 7L displacement. As a replacement for an old rusty radiator cap that was leaking and could not be kept in place. In the original cap, there was no lever vent, but now it does. A lever vent is used to release pressure built up in the cap, therefore minimizing the risk of getting scalded by hot coolant when the cap is opened. The price of the lever cap was less than that of a standard cap at the time.
I really like that it has a pressure relief switch, which adds to the durable nature of the product. I bought this for a 2011 Ram 1500 and it worked perfectly.
I was happy to find this truck with excellent quality for a reasonable price. It is odd to have shops replace water pump gaskets and other things while there is water dripping out of a leaking seal on a 20-year-old vehicle Radiator cap that was on the old radiator. The parts here were 3 or 4 bucks cheaper than at the parts stores. This solved the water loss issue and solved the water loss problem.
I have to return it at my own expense since it did not fit my vehicle as described. Mailing it back to you will probably cost more than what I paid for it.
It would be better if the lock button was I are quite pleased with the work, but I cannot stand the flimsy lock. As far as I can tell, everything is good.
Cheap plastic is used to make levers. Probably will melt or break in the near future. There should be a minimum level of quality.
