When you have a lever kind of radiator, you can release the pressure immediately in your radiator, even when it's hot, and it makes it easier to.

I like this cap very much! A 1983 Toyota Cressida was equipped with the part. *This device vents pressure to the overflow bottle before opening and locks the cap from opening until the lever is raised so that pressure can be vented.

The only issue I have is that the plastic lever feels like it might break if you use too much force on it. As of yet, it hasn't happened to me, but I would take precautions. There is also the added bonus of having to be a little more patient putting on this cap compared with the usual ones. In my opinion, this cap would make a great gift. If you want the right size, make sure you get it.

The device worked fine, but was not too While it does not feel as solid as the Stant cap it replaced, it has been working fine and seems to fit better on my radiator ('91 F150)

I took off the old one that had the plastic handle snapped off because it was the same brand. As a matter of course, replacing the thermostat and changing the coolant means you will need to replace your radiator cap as well.
