I have updated my 2 star review into a 4 star one after some time. I had a bad fuel pump in my tank which warranted changing it out! Despite spending $600 to replace this cap, it hasn't caused me any problems so far. I have not encountered any spills or leaking issues I'm always experiencing flickering in the cap light, and it always clicks when I close it. You should keep in mind that some repairs are more expensive than others. The previous review was as follows I bought this cap to replace an old one on a 2012 Hyundai Accent. The old one had stopped clicking, causing the Check Engine light to appear During the process of replacing the old cap, I noticed that the new one had different markings than either the image or the previous I installed it anyways since I figured it could have something to do with offering a wide range of dates. The light was no longer there after a few minutes of driving and a battery reset. There was much joy! * Except, it reappeared a few days ago and it has gotten I had a P0455 issue with the check engine light and it's now a P0457 issue. Maybe a bigger problem than a gas cap or maybe it was made worse by the gas cap. It's not my fault I don't have the package to return it, but I doubt they will I will probably have to order it from the manufacturer after bringing it to my mechanic.
The code showed something to do with the fuel and exhaust systems. I have just bought this for my 2007 Hyundai Elantra SE after I noticed an engine warning light appearing on the dashboard. My car is well taken care of, and I did not want to spend hundreds of dollars on it In an effort to find the gas cap on Amazon since I had the original and assumed I could fix it myself, I took a chance looking for one there. In most cars made after 2000, an old seal on the gas cap can cause the engine light to come on. I got it for a lot less money than the dealer and it fits just right! There is no longer a problem! recommend that customers who have cars similar to mine, but have not replaced the original gas cap, invest the few bucks in a replacement. It is possible to find the perfect fit for your car - all you need is information about your car! The link to this article can be found here.
Rather than driving to the dealer, stay home. Gas caps for a lot of Hyundais and Genesis cars are now available in this new design. an original OEM part with part number 31010--01 (3L600, as seen in the packaging images). Despite fitting perfectly and installing in less than five minutes, it was very easy to do. I am reviewing my old cap and my new cap. On the left is the new cap, on the right is my old cap. I didn't have any problems removing the cap strap because it came out easily with needle-nose It will simply come off if you put the thong under the strap and pull up Using the exact same gas cap at home saved me about $6 on the part and a trip to the dealer.
My gas cap had been loose since I bought my Tucson some five years ago. Every time I started my car, I would see a warning light on my dashboard. Next, I would go to the dealer for the light to be turned off, and carry on. Before a few months ago, I had never had access to the Internet. In addition to the light continuing for a few days after the code was cleared, the check engine light persisted. The gas cap I purchased is apparently a genuine Hyundai part, so that was the solution to my problem. The check engine light has not come on since installing the new gas cap. I think my original gas cap might have been defective or its o ring had a small nick since day one that eventually became worse. The following are other thoughts I have 1) The product wasn't delivered until a very long time after having been ordered. The USPS was used, and early December was the time. In this case, the seller was not at fault. As a matter of fact, the seller responded quite quickly to emails The email message. 1) I had to remove the old gas cap and it took a few minutes to do that. After years of service, it appears that the tether rubber has gotten stiff and perhaps a bit swollen. The removal of the screw took some work, I used a screw driver and pliers. I only had to click on the new one for a second. As for removing the old gas cap safely, you will need pliers and a steady and firm hand. In conclusion, if you're experiencing a vapor leak on your Hyundai, this new cap might be an easy, cheap fix.

It is a 2007 Hyundai Entourage and the gas cap was replaced a few years ago with a non-corrosive one Replacement gas cap for original equipment manufacturers. In time, we started to experience check engine air leak error codes, and tried different solutions such as purchasing another engine that didn't leak air. I tried replacing the OEM gas cap, but it still did not work. Upon taking it to my preferred mechanic, he conducted a few tests and informed me that a genuine gas cap was needed, so I bought one. This cap fixed my air leak issue instantly at no additional cost, and arrived quickly in the mail! It is impossible for me to purchase anything other than The replacement cap is an OEM replacement cap. I highly recommend it!.
Our cap leash had to be removed because my husband broke the connection when he took off the old one, so we couldn't attach it like the original was. After filling up at the gas station, we won't have to leave the gas cap laying at the gas tank door since there is a bracket on the tank door to secure it.
As you can see, I have a warning light that comes on and stays on indicating a fuel system issue. There was one local parts seller who suggested a after market product, but that didn't stop the warning light from coming on. I recently had my mechanic check out my Santa Fe before a road trip and he suggested that I use a genuine Hyundai product. He was The gas cap I purchased isn't helping. I recently purchased a Genuine gas cap, and the light has gone.
I resolved the issue of my vehicle's mysterious engine light turning on for no apparent reason. In the beginning, I was concerned about the sealing of this because it only "clicked" once and it didn't seem to be tightly **PLEASE NOTE** This is the NEW or REPLACEMENT for the original model number found on the vehicle. Once is all that it takes, so there is no need to click more than once. This did indeed work as advertised and solved the problem of the Engine light being on. According to the manufacturer, the new model of this vacuum sealer can be made by pressing a single button. This is a great solution for anyone who has the "mysterious" Hyundai engine light on without a specific cause.
