Drill holes on the side with hinges and use zip ties to keep it from blowing off like my factory one did. I'll post photos later.
I love the sound of a plastic lid slamming into the back of the car, then looking in the passenger mirror to see a black lid flying off the side of the freeway at 70 miles per hour. I'm going to have to go out and get some more. However, I adore the finished product.
Maybe it was forgotten to be tightened before leaving camp. )br>br>At first, I was disappointed because I assumed we'd have to replace the entire cover, which would be expensive. Camco only sells the cap, which is fortunate. They even threw in all of the extras! This is a significantly less expensive solution to our issue. br>br>It's a perfect fit, neither too loose nor too tight. More importantly, it was incredibly simple to set up. Despite the fact that I am not particularly handy, I was able to replace it in under a minute. Ours is a little faded, and this one is brand new, but I'm sure they'll blend in no time on our next adventure!.
My trailer is a Keystone /, which was manufactured in 2012. It was a perfect match. My trailer is a 2012 Keystone / Passport, and it has two 20-pound cylinders. The tank cover isn't OEM, and I'm not sure if it was installed by the dealer (Sonny's RV), but it was a direct replacement. For the next time I leave it unlatched, I'm going to poke some holes in it and secure it with zip ties.
I was hoping to find a replacement but didn't know where to start looking. I went to my standard "find anything" mode. I looked up "everything" on Amazon and was ecstatic to find that they had exactly what we needed. Before placing my order, I read the reviews, which were extremely helpful in determining which type I required due to the differences in fasteners. In less than a week, I placed an order and received it. We used the hints about zip ties to avoid losing our new replacement cap, which was easy to install and came with extra hardware. br>br>I liked that the cap was made in the United States of America.
On the I-95, the original cover blew off. Between Watertown and Syracuse, there is a stretch of Interstate 81. If you locate it, please let me know. I didn't hold out much hope for it returning, so I bought this instead. I'm delighted - It appears to be exactly the same as I recall the original - and everything is in place. This time, I drilled some extra holes near the hinge and on the main cover body, then used black ty-pe to secure them together. wraps. This one isn't going to go away!.
We purchased a 2016 Keystone Hideout 27' with dual propane tanks as a used unit. The top cover was missing from the previous owners. This was an ideal match. br>br> And, like others, I ensured that it was mounted in such a way that it would not be blown away by the wind, as well as running zip ties through it as a precaution. This cover makes me very happy - Particularly given the cost.
This product appealed to me, but the screws are plated and will rust just like the originals. This was my final repair on this item, so I upgraded the screws to SS. To remove the propane bottles, you must remove all of the screws, so rusted bolts aren't the best option. Overall, I'd say it's a good choice.
