There is something wrong with my gas cap that is causing my check engine light to come on. It doesn't matter if I clear the codes, they come back right away. In my case, all I did was replace the old cap with this one and the old one was merely cosmetically old but functionally fine. The new gas cap is causing me a lot of trouble, as they say don't fix what ain't broken. It's a good thing autozone doesn't sell junk, so I guess I have to go there instead.
I found it to be cheap and light when I opened it, but it did seal well. I forgot the tether with gas, so the first time I got gas, it broke. Taking the cost into account, if you don't need a tether, it's no problem.
This new one now operates with a satisfying click once more, whereas the old one stopped clicking.
No matter how hard I tried to make it do it, it wouldn't turn on when I rotated the cap. In that case. As a test to prevent the engine light (error code P4401) from appearing, I ordered a new one from another It's going to be interesting to see how it.
I'm pleased with my gas cap. It arrived on time in decent condition. I read the instructions but it didn't come with any, but from looking at the old cap, I found the new one rather.
The fuel cap I ordered for my 2016 Kia Sorento was the perfect fit. I fixed the check engine light problem I was experiencing with the old fuel cap by installing this one.
There was a problem with the original gas cap not clicking when it was supposed to. I no longer have a check engine light and it was a perfect fit.
I noticed that my Kia's gas cap threads were chipped, which caused the engine light to come on. Due to the damage to the gas cap, the old gas cap would stop clicking and cause the engine light to illuminate. We replaced the gas cap and the problem has been resolved.
