Through the gap left side of the fill hole, I pulled the back end of the tether through the gap to the front and pulled it back to me. As soon as I snipped off the anchor prongs, I was able to remove the old cap. It's possible you could just clip the tether and let the anchor fall through the backside of the ship.
It took just seconds to install on my 2016 Buick Enclave, and it is a perfect fit and performs well. Everything was just as it should have been!.

The "check engine" light was caused by a loose gas cap, according to the mechanic I went to. Since I didn't want to go to the dealership (about two times the price), I ordered one on here. As for the price, it was very affordable.
