Questions & Answers

This can be used for either the clutch fan or the electric fan, correct?

There is a clutch fan attached to it. The bottom of it slides into a groove at the bottom of the radiator, and its top is connected by a screw on the 4" of it.

The part is for a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 5 cylinder. It has an eight-cylinder engine with a displacement of 0l. ?

As far as I can remember, when I bought the unit, it said that it would not fit my 1992 Jeep Cherokee, but looking at the design, it did. The best advice I can give is to measure the drop between bottom tabs and the spacing between top bolt holes

For the shroud installation, do you need a clip? As far as I know, my XJ didn't come with it. What is the only side that has a driver's ?

There are two u clips for the screws on top, and two screws are driven into the top. The screws and clips are already on your radiator if you still have the overflow hose, which is still secured across the top of the radiator bracket due to the fact that the screws and clips holding it in place are the same as those holding the fan shroud.

Is it going to fit a 1980 Ford F150 with the 400 big block engine?

This Item ID EVA12772027066 will not fit your 1980 Ford F-150 *br>Moreover, I checked our inventory and regrettably, we do not have a Fan Shroud compatible with your vehicle in stock.

My Jeep Cherokee 96 is the perfect fit for this item
5/5

In any case, I bought my 1996 Jeep Cherokee Country 4 a few months ago. Many times I have come close to losing fingers when using the 0L with no shroud. My search for one came to an end so I thought now was the time. Since I was unsure what it looked like, I decided to take a chance and purchase a different one. The fan is a bit tricky to install, however I managed to do it by laying it flat, inserting the lip of the shroud between the fan and radiator, and then starting to raise it as it slid down between the two. While it was a little tricky, I managed to get it to work. This is a fantastic product and I highly recommend it.

The 1995 Cherokee can be fitted with this item
4/5

Minor modifications are required in order to use this piece on a 1995 Cherokee. In the first place, the fan doesn't need to be taken off. Using the fan to turn while moving the shroud into place, the shroud can be manipulated around the fan. In order to bend the inside corners of the shroud slot mount, you will need to get under your Jeep with a flashlight and a small pair of channel lock pliers. In doing so, the shroud will be able to bend around the body. A lightweight metal that is easy to bend. You can pull the slots on the bottom of the shroud into place after you have accommodated your bends. The final step is to bolt up the top, place flat washers between the bolts and the shroud, and then bolt it all together. It is best to limit it to 45 minutes.

My 2001 XJ Cherokee was a perfect fit with this part
5/5

My 2001 XJ Cherokee was a perfect fit with this part. A pair of tabs slides into slots in the bottom of the radiator and two 5/16 bolts attach the top of the radiator to it. When maneuvering the clutch fan into position, I had to take it off. I found that the easiest way to access each bolt was to remove the fan bolts one at a time from the bottom side. The fan could then be rotated by hand to enable access to each bolt.

The fit was perfect and the installation was simple
5/5

I appreciated how the shield worked on my Jeep in terms of controlling its temperature. Below are a few tips we would like to share with It is definitely a good idea to check your motor and transmission mounts before you install the In the first place, they might be the cause of your shroud's break. The chances are that you will have to buy a new shroud if you have shot mounts. Better to get a new radiator soon than to have the existing one replaced. The four 10mm bolts on the passenger side of the chassis rail that runs along the top of the radiator can be removed and you can roll the support up and rock the passenger side of the radiator toward the grill by removing the eightmm nuts from the studs on the supports. You should be able to slip the new shroud into place fairly easily if you do that. In addition, you should be careful when using the temp senor, which is on the front of the engine (the white plug on the brass fitting is on 1996 and newer Cherokees). During the process of installing the new shroud, you may break that off if you are not careful.

This is a perfect fit
5/5

I bought a shroud from Amazon to replace a missing factory shroud on my 88 Cherokee XJ, and it was the perfect fit. Despite the fact that there wasn't enough room around the fan to slip it around the radiator without damaging it, we had to remove the fan to install the fan. I did not have any issues removing the fan and reinstalling it, so that is.

I really like it! My Jeep Cherokee Sport is a 2001 model
4/5

I was unable to slide the fan in between the radiator and the fan. As I was trying to slide it into the radiator, I dinged it. As a result, I had to trim the bottom part of it in order for it to fit. I gave it 4 stars because after that it all connected and it's perfect!.

I am very satisfied with this product, it fits well and works well
5/5

In my case, I have a 1999 Cherokee Sport, and the OEM fan shroud was in dire need of replacement. The Cherokee fan is not finger-friendly without a shroud, and it runs hotter without one, so I ordered this. I installed it in about five minutes. No materials had to be removed. Just put it around the fan, align it with the slots, then put two bolts (with washers) in place. It has been stated in another review that washers should be used to avoid cracking the plastic shroud when tightening In addition, washers would have been a better choice for the factory if they had begun with In order to decrease the likelihood of the bolt holes wearing out at this point, the shrouds will be covered by washers.

The base bushings are missing, but everything else is fine
5/5

This one fits pretty well. Previous owners tried to fix the original one with zip ties and super glue, but they failed. In order to fix my overheating jeep I had to buy a new fan clutch. I discovered the abomination they had left behind. One of the best ones I have ever bought, it shipped fast and is very durable. In my Jeep, it was only missing two bushings for the bottom in order to mount. They were not included and I could not install them.
