Painter's mask tape does the job just fine. Make sure the calipers are clean, that the chemicals are mixed, and that the cans are very clean. Three coats of paint are needed to achieve a good finish. You don't have to worry about the first coat looking bad. It is essential to let it dry at least 15 minutes between coats otherwise brush marks will appear. Make sure to use the brush that came with the kit and do not use the crap brush supplied. It cost me $3 to get a small brush kit at Home Depot.
