Hello Frank, the engine paint is dry to the touch within six hours We do not recommend applying this paint to exhaust systems. It cures in about 7 hours and can be fully cured in 24 hours. There can be temperatures over 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit in exhausts. We've seen reviews stating that some products support even higher temperatures, however we have seen products that do not. *br>If you need an additional explanation, do not hesitate to contact us. In my case, the paint worked well on a spare engine block. As I have never used it before, I am glad I gave it a try. I love the high gloss it gives off and how well it turned out. As for drying, it took a short time. Whenever I saw this color purple, I loved it. The color purple was extremely difficult to find, but I am glad this product was available.
Finished painting my engine at the end of March, but the paint hasn't set up yet, so I'm still unable to assemble it. I still think it is tacky ( June 4th ). Following instructions to the letter was what 8 did. Any person with access to a $50 can of spray paint will do so.
