Questions & Answers

Is this the same gear oil as the mobil 1 104361 75w-? Is it possible to use a synthetic gear lubricant that is 90 percent synthetic?

LS (limited slip) additives are present in 104361, but not in 112811. This 75W-112811 is a great way to save money on your electric bill. In addition, the 90 gear oil is slightly thicker than the 104361. It has a viscosity that is closer to the middle of the 90-weight range (15. 9 cSt at 100 °C, 120 cSt at 40 °C vs. 14 cSt at 100 °C, 120 cSt at 40 °C For the LS version, 6cSt@100°C, 103cSt@40°C). This non-flammable substance has a higher flashpoint. The pour point is also lower (-) in the LS version (205°C vs. 150°C). a temperature of 48°C vs. a temperature of - 39°C), indicating that the base oil is more robust (perhaps more PAO?). Due to the lack of LS additives, it is also slightly more thermally stable (and thus has a slightly longer service life). In the end, if you have a non-profit organization, you should consider hiring a lawyer. If you have a limited slip open differential, this gear oil is likely to be superior to the LS version.

Is it possible to install it in a Mercedes-Benz manual transmission?

If your owner's manual specifies 75-percent, go ahead and do it. Yes, 90w gear oil, I've never changed a Mercedes gear oil so I'm not sure what they recommend, but I read in a review that someone used it in his Porsche and it worked great, so I used it in my final drive on a shaft drive Triumph Rocket 3, and I like it, it looks very clear, with a slight yellow tinge. But, on a car or truck, 90w gear oil is usually required for the manual transmission and rear differential, so I'd use this, which is what they use on big tractor trailers because it's synthetic! A +

Colorado, 2015, number two. Is this the right oil for my 5l rwd differential? thanks?

Check your manual or do a searchbr>I've been using this product for years and it's great. br>Be aware that this product contains no friction modifiers, so if you have a limited slip differential, you will need to add some or purchase the Mobile 1 non-delvac limited slip differential.

911 Porsche oil for fast gears! This is the ideal, Porsche Racing-approved 6-speed transmission
5/5

Replace the gear oil in your speed manual transmission if it's no longer working. Shell SHC gear oil was included in the cars, and it was manufactured by Shell. According to senior members and industry professionals on renntech, rennlist, and pelican parts forums, this has been used by many factory works and privateer teams in the Rolex 24, Sebring 12, Road America endurance races, Le Mans, and other events. br>br>This was expressly held out as being superior to the Mobil 1 75w-90 in 996 GT3 and 996 GT3 Cup cars and is superior in every way to even new Shell SHC, were it to exist For the Porsche gearbox and final drive, these experts recommend 90 LS gear oil, which can be found in auto parts stores. The Delvac also has MIL certification, which the regular Mobil 1 LS lacks. br>br>I've discovered that my 1999 Porsche 996's 6 speed manual gearbox holds between 2. 7 and 3. 7 quarts of cooking oil This will suffice for one drain and fill in either case. br>br>Used extensively in the 996 and 997 6-cylinder engines. This is a great gear oil for high-speed transmissions in cold and hot climates. After I get my 1999 996 C2 911 Cab drained and refilled, I'll update you on my evolving impressions. br>br>I'll also add about 3 oz of Lubeguard HD gear oil protectant to the gallon for added protection, but not enough to mess with the synchros' operation.

Use this gear oil instead of anything else if you own a Porsche with a manual transmission
5/5

The gear oil for the manual transmission in a Porsche is this. It's more expensive than Mobil 1 or Redline gear oil, but if you have a Porsche manual transmission, this gear oil is required. I'm the second owner of my 997. 2 and the previous owner must have used a different oil, causing the transmission to shift very sluggishly. This gear oil was recommended by a PCA member, and after changing it over the weekend, the shifting is noticeably smoother. br>br>This gear oil isn't sold in stores. I'm not sure how much a transmission oil change costs at a dealership, but I did it myself for only $50 in oil.

It's a synthetic Mobil 1 that's hypoid and meets the Triumph final drive unit's requirements
5/5

I was looking for Mobilube SHC Hypoid 75 90 fully synthetic gear oil but couldn't find it anywhere, including on the Mobil website, despite the fact that it's what my manual recommends. I heard on the R3ownwers forum that Mobil said this is a good substitute, and the Triumph dealership said they use Motul V-Series. I'm not familiar with Twin synthetic gear oil, but I read the reviews where a guy used it in his porche transmission and it made it easier to shift, and it's made for semi trucks transmission and differential, so I figured it couldn't get any more HD than that, only wish they had it in quart size so I didn't waste too much if I didn't like it, I only need 6oz per change, but I'll tell you how it looks when it comes out next year Going slowly, it appears to be a little smoother and quieter. But, as far as I'm concerned, I'm satisfied, and I have enough that I can probably change it every year until I die, which it suggests will be every 20,000 years. br> Everything has gone well so far, and I'm also using Delvac grease. Best of luck!.

It's fantastic! Original oem fluid for the Porsche Boxster 986 with 149k miles
5/5

Delvac 75w was installed in its place. My 5-speed has a short shifter, and it shifts much smoother than it used to. After 20k miles (original gearbox), I'll change the fluid again. Delvac is the clear fluid.

Subarus will love it
5/5

My vehicle is a 2005 Subaru Impreza with a manual transmission. This stuff is insanely good and shifts better than anything else I've tried, including "cocktails" recommended on forums; I mean, seriously good. Even in the winter, it's a good option. The shift lever simply falls into gear once it has warmed up. For Subarus, this is a must-have accessory.

Gear Oil for the 2013 FJ Cruiser
5/5

It was used on the front and rear differentials, as well as the transfer case, on my 2013 FJ Cruiser. There are no issues. I've had no problems with it and am glad I was able to find it here for a reasonable price. Sure, gear oil is gear oil, but I prefer Mobil 1, particularly this Delvac.

Volvo Penta Transmissions are a good choice
5/5

I bought it to go with my Volvo Penta marine transmissions. I'm using this oil for the first time; However, I've noticed no problems, and the transmissions are performing admirably. Mobil is known for its high-quality products. There are no issues!.

In my Porsche 996, it works perfectly
5/5

In my Porsche 996, it works perfectly. When the transmission is cold, it's a little notchy and a little more difficult to put into gear, but it smooths out after a mile, and I've been pleased with it; it's certainly less expensive than Porsche branded gear oil.
