The lever is separated from the handle by a considerable distance. Reduces braking response time, making it more difficult to reach the brake pedal and resulting in a loss of grip. This replacement brake lever is simple to install and works. But there's a problem. This brake lever protrudes further from the handle than the original, making it more difficult to grasp and slowing down brake response time. I'm a full-grown adult, and I'm having trouble grasping it. Hand coordination is also affected as a result of this. If you ride aggressively, as I do, you'll want the brake lever close to the handle so you can maintain a tight grip while braking; this requires you to let go of the handle grip to grab the handle. This isn't ideal for extreme riding. A child with smaller hands would also find it difficult to grasp the lever. If you have large hands and don't ride your bike hard, this brake lever will suffice; however, if you have smaller hands or require a quick brake response time and good hand coordination for rough riding conditions, this brake lever is not for you. For the extra money, I'd opt for the OEM chrome version. There's no way to quantify the value of peace of mind and increased security. It gets the job done on a 2 out of 5 scale, but there are some caveats.

For two different projects, I ordered two of these. They are extremely effective. They are a good value because the quality is good, especially considering the price. On the negative side, there's the s- Shipping is included. The second one took over two months to arrive, whereas the first one took about a month.

(Older Baja Warrior models are not compatible with this part. ) The round piece that connects the brake line to the lever does not go far enough into the hole in the lever to allow the brake line to be centered with the gap where it should be. Some other customers claim it fits, but I'm sure those Baja Warriors are newer models, or have a newer model brake line, because I had to drill a hole in the lever for the cable to sit properly. The seller must confirm and state the model year that this fits in the description. Also, don't expect high quality for the price; it appears to be light and inexpensive.

On a Coleman CT100U, I bought this lever to replace a broken part. Despite the fact that it was not designed specifically for that model, it fit perfectly. So far, it's held up admirably, and I actually prefer the black finish to the chrome on the original unit. My purchase went well.

I didn't have to replace the entire brake; instead, I simply removed the brake pull with the screw and replaced it with the brake pull from the new handle, without having to remove the grip around the handlebar. I was ecstatic that it was such a simple fix, requiring only one screw removal and the attachment of the brake wire. Dropping my baja resulted in a broken brake pull.

My Baja Warrior's brake lever was broken, so I used this to replace it. It's better than the original, in my opinion. br>It has a chunkier feel to it.

This is a waste of time. Both times I ordered it, it broke within or before the first use. The first one cracked while I was tightening it to the frame, and the second one broke off after I installed it and rubbed it against a wall. Plastic ones, believe it or not, are superior in my opinion.
