TARAZON CNC Forward Controls Foot Pegs for Honda Shadow VLX 600 VT600C VT600CD 1987-2007

I was extremely excited to get a fresh look for my forward controls after getting in an accident last year and damaging my stock controls on my 2002 Honda Shadow Spirit. The results of ordering these controls are fantastic. I was a little frightened but I could not be happier. I am impressed with the quality of the parts and how easy they are to assemble. As others have said, getting results takes time and patience, but I was very pleased with the results in the end. I have had a very difficult time finding any forward controls for an older Shadow. Several of the others I found were a lot more expensive and did not compare in quality. These are a great deal for the price and quality of the product. Even in light of my little frustrations during the install, the seller surprised me with the quality of their customer service. The results were excellent and they really went the extra mile to please me. There is no doubt in my mind that this transaction deserves 5 stars.

There are no instructions included with the product. The only diagram showing how the product is put together. I would have appreciated a simple step by step or some recommendations on how to do the install. However, I had to remove my exhaust pipes to be able to do the brake side installation. the shifter and brake pegs can be adjusted for a custom fit. had to adjust my rear brake screw (1 by rear drum brake) due to my braking and pedal not fully springing back up and also not applying any force (pressed brake light stayed on)
I would suggest doing multiple tests until you get the "right" feeling. Although the installation was somewhat difficult, the controls feel a lot better than their standard counterparts. For trips which go on for a long time, these are a nice, relaxed solution for someone my height. As it is all aluminum, it feels soiled. A headache well worth it.

As a starting point, let me say how much I like the look of these, and how much I hope this goes well for me. The only thing missing was a nut and washer, but I could easily run to a hardware store and get them I failed to realize that the shifter linkage would not work on my '05 750 spirit as soon as I started assembling it. I had to adjust the bolts because everything was binding, and when I bolted everything together, it did not have enough play The installer sent with this did not include any installation instructions, and so I was left to fend for myself. I've put in a lot of time and effort into a piece I have no hope of installing on my bike, and I've had no direction to follow. You may find kits for different models that fit them better, but if you have a chained spirit, beware, and be prepared to suffer for it.

I am extremely pleased with this addition to my 2002 Honda Shadow Deluxe VT600CD. With plenty of legroom and a cool new reclined position, you can ride for hours. A solid piece of billet aluminum, but the rubber rings that came with the kit were cracked immediately upon installation and were already dry rotten. For this installation, it is necessary to have a basic knowledge of mechanical principles. You won't find step-by-step instructions for this item It does not have step-by-step instructions but it does include numbered part diagrams on each side The instruction manual comes complete with parts list and cut-out. It should be pretty simple to put it together if you are the kind of person who can assemble Ikea furniture by pictures only.

As of now, everything is going well. As soon as we got home, I sat with my wife at our table and we put the pieces together in about 35 minutes. LOL, that's a pretty decent score considering that. I do not have a problem with 5 stars as long as they bolt up equally quickly. The packaging is beautiful and the finish is perfect. As my bike is rigid with custom made links, I can literally lay it flat, and I don't mind how lean it feels, so I don't worry about it. As soon as the results are in, I'll post a picture of the finish and adjust my rating accordingly. It is doubtful, but I am being honest so other MEs out there can be trusted. It was great to work with you!.

They do require a little work and are not very easy to use. It took me a little longer to assemble than I had anticipated, but both sides were installed within an hour or so. I had to get used to the shift pedal being further away from the foot rest, but it wasn't too bad.

The product is excellent. The machining quality is excellent. Despite its small size, this aero model is surprisingly powerful. I spent around an hour and a half doing this. Five stars would have been appropriate, but the instructions for this product are lacking. To put together the puzzle, it takes some time. The rest is great. I love the feel of them. Since I haven't squatted, I don't feel like I do. When riding long distances, it's a must-have.
