A set of Ergo highway pegs with broken arms and missing stops was given to me by a riding buddy. I couldn't find the right parts online, so I called Kuryakyn Tech Support and sent a photo, and the rep had me set up with arms and stops in less than five minutes. Without instructions, it took some fiddling to get them installed and adjusted, but I got it done. Thanks to Forrest in Tech Support, I now have brand new highway pegs for a fraction of the price of brand new ones.
To improve reach, I replaced my worn-out Switchblade Pegs (on Mini Arms) with these and Kuryakyn 8002 ISO Large Male Mount Pegs on our Trike. The only issue was that the new set up's peg mount bolts were too short, but a quick trip to the hardware store and some 1 1/4 inch x 1/2"-inch bolts solved that problem. The new set up allows me three foot positions: 1) with my heel on the running boards toes on peg 2) foot on peg 3) foot over peg which is great on long rides (2016 Roadsmith Kit on Honda GL1800) the new set up allows me three foot positions: 1) with my heel on the running boards toes on peg 2) foot on peg 3) foot over peg.
I just swapped out on my 2008 GL1800 CSC XL COBRA trike, which is much better now that I'm 6'1". As one pass writer put it, "I just wish it could be out an inch or two more," but it's doable.
It was because of Prime shipping that I was able to get them here. They were a perfect fit for my GL1800. Exceptional prediction.
The 5" arms that come with the Kuryakyn's highway pegs are a better choice than the 6" arms that come with the Kuryakyn's highway pegs. In my opinion, at least for riders of average size.
The shorter arms did the trick; now if I could just move the boards out an inch, my legs would be clear of the fairing. The designers must not have realized that the highway board mounts they designed for a GOLDWING would be used on a GOLDWING, as all GOLDWINGs have full fairings.
Thank you for the quick delivery of a great product.
It adjusts the angle of my cruiser boards. I've had them for a long time and only had to replace them because of a crash.
