Those are what I put on my Dyna Street Bob 2013. There were no problems with fitment at all. In the context of engine guards, they are the aftermarket hoops people install to mitigate the risk of the motor laying over if the bike is flipped. There is a chance that they won't work for you if you have them installed. I found it very heavy duty with excellent heavy chrome, and it went on smoothly. The bike has been on the road for 2000 miles with these installed and has not had any issues. Here are two images side by side Here is a side-by-side comparison between this setup and the Harley aftermarket one, and this one is way beefier and looks better. Despite its small size, it comes with the small chrome shield that fits over the factory gearshift spline, which eliminates the need to remove the side cover and take out the assembly simply cover it with a chrome hat and you're done. The poor construction of controls, the hardware used, and the cumbersome instructions resulted in my rating of 2 stars. Each foot peg is mounted on the plate by a single medium grade 1/4 shaft size bolt. Now I know why these foot pegs snap off, as I've read blogs about them. (2) Bolts connecting the main control plates to the motorcycle are designed with a small allen head, so in order to tighten the bolts you need a small allen wrench, which makes it very difficult to ensure that they are securely fastened. Make sure there is enough thread lock used. Because the parts are not identified, the instructions are cumbersome. A picture that points out which part goes where would be beneficial. It would be great to have more pictures of the installation process to assist the entire It is not recommended for people over 200 pounds, or for those just starting out on their bikes. In the case of a broken foot peg, you might end up in a difficult position and To my mind, more effort was put into designing these controls to look good, at the expense of Should I need to update this review, I will do so.
It was a pleasure installing these front controls on my 2013 FXDC Dyna Super Glide custom and they are terrific! The chrome on these is very nice and they are very smooth. My needs were met by the seller precisely, and he did so within a short period of time. If you need some forward controls, I would recommend you try these since they don't appear to be rusting, and I have had them on my bike for a while now. In terms of final assembly, I recommend using some blue threadlocker. I would rate this seller as A+ in every way!.
Aside from being excellent in terms of quality, it also looks Instructions are the only thing that needs to be revised. The type of person I am, I follow instructions step by step, but this time I had to second guess myself.
Use your mechanical skills and your common sense, and you should be able to complete the project.
Having the forward controls is a great experience for someone of my height. Neither control nor balance have caused any problems for me. I put these on the HD street bob and it now.
They look nice and serve their purpose well. They are easy to install, the chrome is nice, and they have a good appearance. Alternatively, you can spend up to 1,000 on other brands. When you're not sure if you want to go forward, $2,000 is a lot of cash.
There were 4 missing bolts in the package, but the actual controls are fine. The Kuryakyn staff said they couldn't give me the missing parts since it was purchased from Amazon. It is a POOR customer service system.
I had no problems installing the software. Having said that, I still need to lower the brake pedal and shifter peg.
