Questions & Answers

Sanding discs are mentioned in the description. Is it possible that this is a blunder?

Mine didn't come with any sanding discs, but you don't need them. Put a quarter-sized drop on a washcloth or rag and rub a little to remove the oxidation. I think it works better than the ones that come with the sanding discs.

What is the total number of lights that this container is capable of cleaning?

For a full container, 5 lights are sufficient. It's a great solution.

Hello, I have a question. Is this product applied directly to the skin? or should I do something else before applying? Is it possible for it to work as a wax? Isn't it true that the headlights are s?

Before I asked, I used mild soap and water to clean my headlights. The product directions didn't say to do that, but after a couple of applications, my headlights looked brand new.

What makes this product stand out from 3M 39010 headlight lens polish and protector?

The cleaner is slightly more abrasive than the polish, so it removes oxidation from the headlight lens more quickly (similar to car compound vs. car polish, or gritty sandpaper vs. fine sandpaper). br>I used both the cleaner and the polish, and I didn't notice any significant improvement with the polish over what the cleaner had already accomplished, so I would recommend just using the cleaner and skipping the polish.

It'll only take you five minutes! Some of these reviews are perplexing to me
5/5

Some of them might be for the kits, I believe. The $11 bottle of 3m headlight renewal was all I purchased and used. br>Now, if you really want to do it right, you should go with the sanding, polishing, and protection method. I only used this one product in the hopes of getting a minor clean up on my Infiniti G35's hazy and slightly yellowing massive lights. I wish I had taken photos, but I was prepared for the outcome. I used a detailed glass cleaner that I had on hand to clean the lenses. Used a microfiber towel and a dab of 3M in a circular motion by hand, allowing the haze from the first coat to remain. I went over it again with a second coat of paint. I waited 5 minutes, wiped away the haze, and marveled at how close my lenses were to being perfect. It's been a week, there's been some rain, and the car is still spotless. br>Now, I realize they still need some kind of UV protection, but I'd rather do this once a month or so than deal with the time and effort of the entire process, which only lasts a couple of years anyway. While you're filling your tank, you can actually do this. Simple, quick, and tidy. Plus, you'll most likely be able to complete at least 20 headlights. My Mini Cooper's taillights were even cleaned up. br>br>Delighted client. Thx.

Finally, a headlight cleaner that actually DOES the job
5/5

Have you tried every YouTube video on how to get the yellowing out of your car's headlights? The majority of the videos were a waste of time because the toothpaste and other methods were ineffective. I tried cleaning the headlights first, then sanding them down with a very light sand paper (Brillo Pad type) and then using Nail Polish Remover. That was fine, but the yellow reappeared after six months. br>br>This time, I was watching a YouTube video where a man was using 3M rubbing compound. He only needed a Fiber Towel and some rubbing compound. I tried it after he did it three times to ensure that the effects would last longer. And I did it once, and it looked good, and then I did it again, and it looked good, and then I did it a third time for good measure. And those headlights are a GORGEOUS GORGEOUS GORGEOUS GORGEOUS G I'm not sure how long it will last because I just did it, but as clean as they are now, I think I'll be able to get a lot of use out of them. Plus, I'm able to see well enough to drive at night! It simply does not get any better!.

It's fantastic! My headlights were becoming hazy, so I bought this Lens and Hard Plastic Cleaner
5/5

I cleaned my headlights myself with a kit, which yielded poor results, and then had them professionally cleaned, which yielded excellent results. I knew I had to act as soon as I noticed the haze was returning because I didn't want it to get worse. I was skeptical about this product's effectiveness, but it wasn't prohibitively expensive, so I figured I could give it a shot with little risk. br>I went out to clean my headlights expecting it to be a long, difficult job like it had been in the past; however, it wasn't long at all, and even doing it by hand wasn't difficult. I applied the product with one microfiber cloth and then removed it with the other. I noticed right away that a small amount of the product went a long way, indicating that this small bottle would last a long time. br>On my first headlight, I rubbed on the product and then buffed it off, and it was clean and clear in under 10 minutes. I was blown away by how simple it was to restore clarity to the lens. I spent less than 20 minutes on both headlights from start to finish (including taking photos) and they looked great again. If your headlights are really bad, I'm guessing it'll take some time to buff out all of the haze. After cleaning both headlights, I applied a protectant to help slow down the hazing process. It's been three weeks since I did this, and my headlights are still shining brightly. I'm very happy with it, and I'm going to order another bottle just in case.

Wow, that was a $300 savings on new headlights and taillights
4/5

As a detailer, I spent a lot of time restoring headlights. I used three compounds and a nanowax back then to restore them to their former glory - All of the store-bought nonsense was never functional. br>br>At the moment, I'm restoring a 1988 Mustang and don't have all of my detailing supplies, so I was prepared to spend $300 on all-new detailing equipment. Because my headlights and taillights were damaged, I needed new ones. br>br>Despite knowing how good 3M is, I was skeptical when I first saw this. But, at $10 on Amazon, it's worth taking the chance because I can simply return it if it's the same garbage as the rest of the products. My headlights went from a foggy, filthy mess to looking almost brand new in less than 5 minutes of work. br>br>I used a sealer after that, but the 3M did the job. However, one of my headlights is a tad discolored. It came out smoother and clearer, but not nearly as well as the before and after photos I've included above. As a result, there are four of them. a four-star rating rather than a five-star rating br>br>I attempted to use my buffer with this product, but it dried too quickly, and I ended up slightly burning the plastic lens.

It really works
5/5

This product is highly recommended because it does exactly what it says it will. It may take some elbow grease depending on the state of your headlights. The outcomes aren't perfect, in my opinion. resembles or reflects- but not quite the same There is no need for any special knowledge; simply follow the instructions and you will be fine.
