The coarse grit sandpaper should be used first, followed by the fine grit. This item is fantastic and simple to use.
The clear coat step is the third step, and you should repeat it just to be safe. You might be able to get away with just resanding it and applying the clear coat again. 3M sells stand-alone clear coat wipes, but I can't speak to their quality; however, 3M is generally regarded as a reliable company.

This is what I used on a new 2014 Honda CRV. br>br>It still works like a charm! br>br>Even the small hair line cracks that had appeared in the headlights vanished. I took a few extra minutes on step 2 to get rid of the hairline cracks. The cerakote was then used to fill in the gaps, and it was as smooth as glass! br>br>Holy Crap! br>br> Exceptional product!! Your headlights will look brand new if you follow the instructions in the video provided. Mine did. It should take about 15 minutes per headlight if you follow the instructions correctly. You'll be amazed if you do it right and then some! br>First step: br>Pointersbr> For a total of 4 minutes per head light, scrub for 1 minute with each oxidation pad. Using clean water, rinse the headlight. br>The following is the second step: For a total of six minutes, scrub with the red and gray sanding pads for at least three minutes each. While scrubbing, keep the headlamp wet at all times. Fill a spray bottle halfway with water and use it to apply the solution. Using clean water, rinse the headlight. br>The third and final step is to: Before applying the final product, dry the headlight completely with three clean towels. br>* Work on one side at a time!!

For less than $30, you can get unbelievable results. I was worried that I'd have to spend over $500 on new headlights. Because the factory clear coat was delaminating, my mechanic said headlight restorer wasn't likely to work. I had to work a little harder on the sanding steps to ensure that all of the old clear coating was removed from the lens, but it was well worth it. The clear coating wiped on in 5 seconds after I sanded down the lenses, and the transformation was incredible.
This stuff is fantastic. It was simple to use and didn't necessitate the use of any additional equipment. . . all you needed were the gloves that came with it. The before and after photos demonstrate the effectiveness of the method. This Cerakote brand was chosen because it claims to have a lifetime warranty and does not wash off. The end result is quite impressive; I never imagined my headlights would look this good without being replaced!.
The cleaner was incredible, unlike anything I'd ever used before, and it literally took the yellow out of the lenses. The sanding pad is easy to hold during the sanding process, but keep the pads wet to make the process go more smoothly. The ceramic clear coating was simple to apply and produced professional-looking results. I'm very happy with the outcome. It's a perfect five-star rating.
That's why I decided to try this one, which claims to be a ceramic coating with a lifetime warranty. The other appears to be some kind of wax. It was simple to use, took little time, and provided immediate results. It took about 20 minutes to install, but it will be well worth it if it lasts as long as they claim.
It took me about 25 minutes in total, and the result was excellent. A fantastic item!.
I'm sure I could have done a better job with it, but I followed the video instructions exactly as the package suggested. The sanding left scratches in my headlights that were not completely filled with the ceramic, and worse, I scuffed the edges of the paint near the headlights with the edge of the sander, leaving ugly marks that I had to sand with finer paper and polish/wax to hide. The ceramic coating dries FAST, and they don't warn you, but if you run it over it again with the coating wipe, it will streak like crazy and look terrible. I sanded the ceramic away and quickly applied the other wipe to both lights, which worked. br>br>In the past, I've used other restoration kits with a drill and had great success. This has caused damage to my car and has been a pain; I do not recommend it and wish I could undo what has been done and receive a refund.
My headlights improved after using the 3M kit, but not as much as I had hoped. The instructions are simple to follow with this kit. It's possible that I didn't devote enough time to the 3M kit, but the results with this one were far superior.
