Questions & Answers

What exactly is a one-of-a-kind situation? $13 for a single can or $13 for a case of six. because a can can be purchased for $4 At Home Depot, there's a $69 tax?

Then go to Home Depot and make your purchase. Home Depot does not deliver to your door for no extra charge. There is a delivery fee that is separate from your prime membership fee.

Is it suitable for the bores of black powder rifles?

In the bore, I would not use it. Misfires are almost certain to occur. Ballistol will neutralize black powder salts, so use a black powder-specific cleaner on the inside. This item is suitable for use outside.

Is this a product that contains cosmoline?

Not in the least. Try the following product for cosmoline: RP- 342 It's unlikely to be found on Amazoon.

It only mentions one instance. Is it a single can or a total of six cans?

6 is the correct number. When I bought a can, there was no mention of a case.

This stuff is fantastic for protecting parts that will be exposed to the elements
5/5

This stuff is fantastic for shielding parts that will be exposed to the elements. It's a little thinner than Fluid Film, but I found it easier to apply and get into nooks and crevices because of this. It's sticky but not runny once you've tried it. It doesn't appear to attract dust or dirt like some of the other coatings I've tried. br>br>In the winter, I used this to coat the undercarriage of a small SUV that gets a lot of snow and salt. The underside, including axles and suspension parts, was coated with the entire case of 16oz cans. I avoided rubber components (such as bushings and hoses) and concentrated on the body's moisture-collecting areas. br>br>It's been on the vehicle for about three months now. Water is still beading up on the areas where I've applied it despite the fact that it's been subjected to a lot of abuse. This is an excellent way to prevent corrosion, even if I only have to do it once a year.

This stuff is effective! My home is on the coast of Florida
5/5

I've used it to keep things from corroding in a variety of situations, and it works great. If you spray it on an item when it's new and then reapply it every six months or so in direct sunlight, it'll keep its new appearance. I've used it on zippers, axles, truck suspension, and saltwater scoops, among other things, and it's performed admirably. In my shop, I keep a can on hand at all times.

A good product for preventing exposed metal (fasteners) from rusting
5/5

There are a few similar products, and after trying two more, they all appear to be similar - To protect the exposed metal, an oily/waxy film is left behind. br>br>Because I live in the Midwest, rusting fasteners is a given; however, for truly critical fasteners (especially when assembling), I use the brush-on method. on 'anti- products to be seized However, if I just want to prevent rust on existing fasteners (without disassembly), this is a fantastic option - and'sticks' much better than simply spraying with oil or slathering on grease.

Rust Prevention
5/5

When applied to clean raw metal, it effectively prevents the formation of rust. br> It is designed to protect against "Corrosion" and will help contain and stop further rust on lightly rusted metal. br>br>It is designed to protect against "Corrosion" and will help contain and stop further rust on lightly rusted metal. It has some lubricant properties, but its main purpose is to prevent rust flaking.

LPS 3 is a good alternative
5/5

Excellent substitute for LPS 3, which costs around 22 dollars on Amazon for the same size can. It applies differently than LPS 3, but it leaves the same protective sheen, which is exactly what I was looking for. I tried a few other products in this category and none of them even come close. All of them will be returned, except for this one.

For me, this is effective
5/5

I've been using it for years and it's a fantastic product. Really works to keep rust and corrosion at bay. This is a heavy-duty spray (unlike WD 40) that stays on the metal for a long time. It works by leaving a corrosion barrier on the metal. This is something I strongly suggest.

This is a great product that I'll be using on my Tacoma pickup's undercarriage to prevent rust
4/5

The effectiveness of the strategy will be determined over time. br>br>3/2021 Update: It's fantastic. The tin is nearly full. It's what I've used on my metal items. in automobiles and at home It's thicker than Fluid Film, which I just bought because Amazon was out of the Blaster.

However, it appears that this is more akin to a gleaming lacquer
3/5

This was not at all what I had anticipated. I'd already had my truck rust-checked, and all I needed to do now was touch up a few spots on the frame. I was expecting a cosmoline coat, but it appears to be more of a glossy lacquer. I'm not referring to its effectiveness; rather, I'm referring to its appearance. It'll come in handy on some farm machinery.
