ACDelco GM Original Equipment 10-4020 Rust Penetrating Lubricant - VOC Compliant - 12 oz Aerosol

I've been using this stuff since the 1970s as a retired professional service technician who worked in both dealerships and retail repair shops. When engines had heat risers, it was called heat riser penetrent at the time. If your problem is really bad, it may take a few hours to soak in, but if you give it a squirt and try to break it loose the least bit, reapply and wait a few times, it will do the job. I started doing alignments in Wisconsin, rust country, and I have saved many many tie rod replacements and numerous other components where cutting and replacement would be the only answer due to rust. MAF sensors and other computer sensors can also be cleaned safely. The only difference between this and the Mopar stuff is that Delco's cap is better. It's called Butyl Cellosolve, and it's a product that no one else, not even Permatex, sells. It's stinky, and it eats paint. br>In the 1980s, Ford sold this as a Combustion Chamber Cleaner to prevent pinging; it worked just as well without the graphite!.

I bought this after hearing great things about it from the most knowledgeable members of some Jeep forums, and I used it to help remove everything from a completely rotted out Jeep Wrangler frame (frame-only). off the beaten path). It turns out to be a better deal than I had anticipated.
1. Is it better than PB blaster in terms of performance? It appears to edge it out in a couple of informal tests, though this is not scientifically proven.
2. When used properly, it will outlast the PB blaster. It turns into a thick, almost shaving cream-like foam. You do not have to spray the sh$%t out of the target - Simply apply a small dollop to the smartest point, wait a few seconds, and then bang on it. I disassembled many of the subcomponents after removing all components from the rusted Jeep frame. 45 man- spraying for 11 days - hours splat, splat, splat, splat bang. I'm only about a quarter of the way through the first can. To do the same job, you use a lot less of it. By now, I'm pretty sure I'd used at least two cans of PB blaster, with at least half of it soaked into the garage floor.

I've been having a lot of trouble with PB Blaster because the last four cans I've gotten are only about a third full. Stop misting It isn't very good, to be honest. It has a low lubrication capacity. It's quickly depleted. So I went online to some forums to learn more about Kroil. I was able to get a good deal on it. Some were ordered. However, it was during that research that I came across information for this. Mopar created a few things. I ordered both to be tested. br>br>I have a torn-down dirt bike engine that was left in the rain without a spark plug. The rod bearing is a type of bearing. One of the crankshaft bearings had completely seized up. I tried PB for several days, but it didn't seem to help much. After that, I sprayed it with Mopar's stuff. After a couple of hours, it was starting to come loose, but not completely. Then I sprayed some of that AC stuff on it. Holy crap, not only was it broken loose after 10 minutes, but it was also very smooth. Rubber-sealed cartridges are one of those bearings. It snuck into it without being noticed. br>br>To summarize. Even though it is costly, I am very impressed with it. I won't be able to get it from a nearby big box store. Because the foaming remains until it penetrates, it is cool. It appears to pervade all surfaces. It's a fantastic lubricant. br>br>The vendor. I'm at a loss for words. They were sent out right away. I received it quickly, and the seller was excellent.

Not only is this a great penetrating oil, but you only need a small amount to do the same job because it's suspended in foam and stays in place so well. There's no excessive odor, and the savings add up quickly because you only use a small amount. Congratulations, ACDelco!.

I've never used a more effective product for breaking loose rusted nuts and bolts. Get the part nice and hot first, just enough to make a lot of smoke when you first hit it with a shot of Heat Valve, and your problems will be over in no time, or at the very least you'll be on your way to the next one lol. You'll never want to be without a can of this stuff if you work on rusted vehicles. For the garage, this is a must-have item.

I only learned about this rust penetrant a year ago, but I'll be using it whenever I need to free up those older bolts on my XJ and YJ. I apply it the night before and wait an hour or so before beginning whatever repair or upgrade I'm working on. Use it with caution and in a well-ventilated area.

I simply cannot express how fantastic this is. It helped me free up the spark plugs in my Ford V-Max. When you try to remove them, they are notorious for breaking, requiring hours of work with specialized tools. My engine had 143,000 miles on the spark plugs. There was no breakage on any of them.

It does a better job. You don't need to use nearly as much as you think you do. If you're in a hurry, Amazon has a great price and can ship within a day or two.
