Questions & Answers

Can you recommend a ruler that is 5 inches and 1/4 inches wide?

There's no quarter inch to be found on this 5 inch square.

What is the name of the ruler that is 2 1/2 x 12 1/2 inches?

The 12 x 12 arteza ruler measures 6 inches x 6 inches

Is there a lip on the edge of this ruler?

The answer is no. There are two flat sides to it.

Does this grid look clear to you?

Since the green occurs in front of my line-up, the position does not seem so clear to me. Whenever I look at grid lines, I only consider black It is only because I need 16 1/2" and 12 1/2" for a quilt block that I purchased it.

Make sure you are careful when you buy
3/5

It is important to make an informed choice. There were a few disappointments with this ruler. Be aware that the inch grids are frosted, and it is very difficult to tell where the edge of your fabric is if you are buying it to square up large blocks. Blue tape was even tried, but it still wouldn't work. As a rule user, I use Omnigrid rulers all the time with no problems. They do not have frosted grid marks, only neon ones. There is something special about this one. For what you get for your money, it's a decent price, but it's not very functional.

It is the best product on This is a great book to read
5/5

I believe that this is one of the top products on My wife used it in her sewing classes, and all her students loved it, they said that it made their work so much I only had one complaint, and that was the poor packaging for delivery. The quilters rule is a fragile item that should at least have been bubble wrapped when sent. I ordered four, and one was broken because they were loosely packed and there was no cushion to protect it when shipped. I was able to replace the item immediately after Amazon responded to my complaint. The OmniGrip ruler is the best, and I will always recommend it to my students. My wife has been using her first one for over seven years and it is still in extremely good condition, so we recommend the OmniGrip ruler to all of our.

Get the one with the OmniGRIP label on it
5/5

What a fun idea! It is superior in terms of gripping power and accuracy. When it comes to rulers, get the Omni GRIP rulers as I feel they work better for cutting fabric, due to the grip they create on the back. They have a product on the back that makes them grip fabric for a clean cut. I am only expressing my opinions. I work for them. Make sure to find a Fiskars pink cutting mat as well. Combining these two is a good idea.

This is a great product for fussy eaters Taking large blocks to be cut
5/5

Several years ago, I finished a quilt for a woman who had started it 12 years earlier. A 15-person crew worked on it Blocks cut from 3" fussy cut paper. I loved this ruler because it made it so easy. First, I marked the center point, took the halfway measurement and then used a ruler to measure and cut each side from the center. There are directions on how to use the ruler for other purposes as well. Having just the right quilt, with its over sized blocks, was perfect for this finish A fussy cut block of the same size. Rulers the size of this are rare, so you'll most likely use a ruler of 12"- 20". The 5" height problem will no longer be a concern for me. Additionally, you can apply Omnigrid Glow Line tape to any ruler to make sure it is the right size. The best part about it for me is the center hole for marking your fabric, and that it's a good size. I'm very pleased with it.

I like the size and the fact that it The ruler is 24 x 9 1/2 inches, which makes it wonderfully large to cut fabric with
5/5

When cutting fabric, it does not move when in use. To trim large quilt blocks, I used this tool. While cutting, it did not slip once. I love how easy it is to read. The area at the end of the ruler with a 1/2 inch measurement is bordered by a green translucent stripe. With other rulers, I often get the 1/2 measurement wrong. This one makes it very clear which end measures a full inch and which is not. It's just half an inch extra. Cuts more accurately, and thus less likely to make an It is an exceptional brand that I would highly.

I did a good job, but I could have done In comparison with the green rulers that this brand sells, this ruler lacks the same grip
4/5

It was assumed they would be identical because they are the same brand. The markings on the ruler were extremely small so I put colored tape on the lines I will use. (I also put small grip dots on both ends and the middle to prevent it from slipping while rotary cutting. ) Fabric measured 1 1/2" and 1 1/4" wide, so I was able to easily cut this into 1 1/2" and 1 1/4" strips.

We are still debating if it is 'better' or not
4/5

For some projects, I wanted to try a wider grid rule than the 6 1/2" wide one I'd already purchased from another manufacturer. There are some things that are better and others that are less so, as usual. My narrower one could happily be given up as I like this one so much. It is very helpful to have measurements in both directions on narrow ends, as it requires less math and fewer There is only one aspect I don't like, and that is the amount of green highlight on all I sometimes have a hard time finding my pencil marks because of that. It may be helpful for you to look at several examples and select the one that works best for you.

The neon highlights make this product look top quality, accurate, and easy to see
5/5

Since I have been quilting for only a couple of years, I have found that the Omnigrip rulers have quickly become my favorites. Compared to others, they are a little pricey, but they are worth the price. ),* and the neon color underneath has been visible on every fabric I have This collection of trays is made from heavy acrylic and has endured whatever I have put it through, from heavy use, rotary cutters, This is likely to be the brand I will always use to make my craft rulers. It is highly recommended that you try any product from Omnigrip.
