I've tried a lot of different watercolor papers and always come back to my favorite, but I bought this because the price was so good that it was worth taking a chance. br>br>The paper is thick and textured in a medium way. You can paint on either side, as one is smoother than the other. br>br>In my paintings, I like to use blooms, and this paper allows the watercolor to do its thing. This may not be for you if you prefer a smooth hot press and clean washes. This paper takes a long time to dry and absorbs enough water to keep the paint from pooling. It produces lovely blooms and allows for a variety of texture techniques. br>br>I'll be back!.
It has e ink on it. Because it absorbs ink so well, this is truly a multi-media paper. The semi-circle is one of my favorites. The rough texture, as well as the heavy weight, add to the overall effect. It's also great for gouache, which I frequently use in combination with watercolor and ink. It's reasonably priced, and it's my go-to paper.
I gave it a try and was pleasantly surprised by its color and water absorption. It will undoubtedly become my go-to watercolor paper. This paper comes at a very reasonable price, so I highly recommend it.
This is not a good idea. The paper was stretched and dried flat, but when moistened, it buckled badly again. So don't bite unless it's part of your strategy.
The paper is thin and of poor quality.
Purchase with confidence!.
These were purchased with the intention of creating a watercolor sketchbook. It was decent, despite the fact that it bloomed quickly. It was able to withstand some scrubbing.
This is a paper I really like. The texture is ideal for watercolors, and it holds them nicely. When wet, the thickness I chose does not curl up too much, and there has been no bleed through so far.
