The best of everything!   It makes no difference what you use them for if you make a surgical incision from the back of the blades all the way to the tip with no skips or glitches. br>br>They cut multiple layers of different materials all the way to the tip of the scissors like a hot knife through butter, and they cut thick leather with the same ease, which is ideal for me. I've been making "heirloom quality" custom woodwork for 40 years, and I've recently started making some chairs and other items that require leather or canvas (as a seat or back material). I get my leather from an Amish saddle maker next door, and I needed some SHARP, TOUGH leather. I read the reviews of these Very well made "scissors" - high quality shears (I can quickly ruin a pair of "Fiskars") I took these out of the box (along with three seam rippers and a small pair of "Trim" snippers) and examined them. a cloth seamstress's tape) All of the items are made from high-quality materials and are expertly crafted. These are VERY sharp, High Carbon steel, hardened to what appears to be around 60-65 HRC. I'm sure they'll last me a very long time. 62 RH (I also make custom hunting knives, tempering is available) I use these High Quality Shears for anything that requires scissors (or shears)- I highly recommend them. It's a good-looking pair of scissors that can handle thicker materials. They're not the best scissors for cutting standard materials or sewing because they leave frayed edges and aren't as good as "sewing scissors" like Fiskars Razor Edge products. Still, they're not terrible or even bad, and if you're looking for a good set of all-purpose scissors, these will suffice. The seam rippers and thread snips come in a nice package, and they work better than my name-brand ones.

For a very long time, I was a Fiscars fan. I couldn't leave the house for obvious reasons, so I looked for snips in vain. That is something that no one ever has enough of. I found the snips, as well as the seam rippers, here. I reasoned that there is no such thing as having too many seam rippers. One at the sewing machine, one on the ironing board, and one in a relaxing environment. Fabrics come in a variety of sizes. When it comes to scissors, don't be cheap. So when I decided to take a chance on these scissors, I was afraid that I would be breaking my mother's rule (due to the price). But, based on the positive reviews, I decided to give them a try, and I'm glad I did. To begin with, I do a lot of leather work, and leather is difficult to cut with scissors. Because of the steel construction, I was drawn to these. This means they'll rust and need to be oiled more frequently, but it also means the blades will hold their edge better when in use. br>br>The scissors were impressive right out of the box: well-made, easily adjustable, and comfortable. Despite the fact that my current projects are not made of leather, the scissors perform admirably. Very smooth, straight cuts. br>br>I can't speak to the blades' durability just yet, but I can say that my previous scissors, which I wore out after nearly two decades of use, cost three times as much as these scissors and cut no better right out of the box. Is it possible that these scissors will last for the next 20 years? Will they be able to withstand resharpening in the future? I don't know the answers yet, but even if they don't, I'll have enough money to buy two more pairs. If you don't mind oiling them (I do a couple of drops when I oil my sewing machine), and you need a really good pair of sharp steel scissors, look no further.
