Questions & Answers
For appliqué work and light cutting, I'd go with the 6" size. Karen Kay Buckley scissors come in sizes 4", 6", and 7" and I have two of each size. I don't want to be without a pair of shoes at any time. They're the most effective I've ever encountered.
The handles were too small for my first three fingers, and I have large hands for a woman. They're easy to control and comfortable to use.
Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. I honestly have no idea. br>"Made in ____" is not stamped on the scissors themselves. The package is no longer with me. One of the blades is inscribed with Karen Kay Buckley's signature. And. They're perfect for me.
The scissors do not have a coating, but they do have slightly serrated blades that cut like butter! I have every single one of her scissors and adore them all.

It was well worth the money. I'm going to get the next size up. Micro cuts on applique work, precision fabric cutting, and thread cutting are all skills I have. Nothing seems to be moving. What you intend to cut is precisely cut - There is no swaying, and there is no bias creep. They're fantastic for precise snipping when thread/fabric movement would ruin the intended effect. I have a large collection of high-end scissors and shears. These are the most effective for the job. They are also too small to perform large-scale cutting events such as garment patterns. I use Ginghers for that work.
I used to have a pair of these scissors, and they were fantastic. Quilting and cross-stitching are two of my favorite pastimes. For both of these crafts, these scissors are ideal. They are gentle on arthritic hands and cut beautifully because they grip the fabric as they cut, ensuring an even cut. Quilting and appliqué require a lot of it. Karen Kay Bradley scissors in various sizes have now become a part of my collection!.
I purchased them because sewing with regular scissors hurt my arthritic hands. This is fantastic. The finger holes are spacious, cushioned, and easy to grip and use. The scissor, too, is fantastic. It cuts the thread every time without the need to'saw' the thread and without any other issues. I haven't tried it on fabric yet because I don't want to risk dulling its excellent thread cutting capabilities - I'll probably get another one for material cutting (which I don't do very often) and general use (which I do frequently). These scissors are not junk, as is often the case when ordering something online without seeing it in person. Thank you to everyone who took the time to leave feedback.
For the past two years, I've been quilting. I have a few other scissors in my collection. These six ways to Sunday are beaten by Gingher, Fiskars, and other similar brands. They are extremely sharp, with a serrated edge that makes all the difference. When I'm cutting small pieces of fabric, the other brands sometimes seem to push the fabric away from me as I'm cutting. Karen Buckley scissors have a serrated edge that grabs the fabric and allows me to cut straight. The wide openings make the handles extremely comfortable. My finger and thumb are always getting stuck in a pair of Ginghers that are 4 inches long! They also have a razor-sharp point that makes maneuvering around curves and corners a breeze. I looked around and found that Amazon had the best price, so I'm back to order more Karen Buckley in various sizes.
These were recommended to me by a friend, and I was delighted to find them on Amazon. They arrived two days later, which was even better. They're incredible! I'm using them to make wool appliqué and they're fantastic! The blades have a very fine serration on them, which allows them to cut small, intricate pieces of wool with great precision. If you've been doing this with regular scissors, you'll be glad you upgraded. They're also easy to hold and operate. I purchased the 6 inch size and find them to be ideal for my requirements. I can't sing their praises loudly enough.
So there are no words to describe how each size and make of these fabric shears I've purchased is in its own league of fabric shears! High quality, and you get what you pay for with these, according to all of the reviews I've read. However, if you collect high-quality shears, this is a different story. Purchase these because nothing compares to them! These would be compared to Kia's quality, which is undoubtedly the best!.
These scissors are absolutely fantastic. br>The blades have a good grip on them, so they hold on to whatever you're cutting when you're cutting out an applique or whatever else you're cutting. Straight- Bladed scissors aren't as good at holding on to the material you're cutting. For example, if you're trying to cut a circle out of straight-edged paper, you can use straight-edged paper. When using bladed scissors, the fabric can move around on you, and once you've finished cutting, you'll notice that you didn't cut it as precisely as you thought. These scissors, on the other hand, give you a nice clean cut when you follow your cutting line; they're a little pricey, but they'll be the last pair you buy (as long as you don't lose them or they don't grow feet and walk away, which happens occasionally).
These scissors have made an impression on me. It took me some time to get used to cutting fabric with them because they have a slightly serrated edge. I don; I'm at a loss for words to express how I felt. As the blades meet, there is a feeling of resistance or gripping, but the blades cut so well that there is no real resistance. With a little more practice, I think I'll like them more; the handles are comfortable, and they cut cleanly and efficiently. Because the package did not include the blade cover, I deducted one star. I noticed that the packaging was stapled on the sides but not the top or bottom, so it's possible that the package bowed open and the cover fell out by squeezing the sides. I didn't think it was worth it at the time to go through the return process, but now I wish I had because the points of these scissors are so sharp that they pierce my accessory bag when I carry them to class. I'm kicking myself for not making it back. The poor packaging earns it a four-star rating. I believe the cover would have arrived in good condition if the package had been sealed on all sides.
