Purchasing a box of 30 yards will cost you the entire amount. My entire elastic supply is purchased in bulk in this way You'll save a lot of money this way!

If this is cut in half, will it unravel or can it be cut into two pieces of 1/4 inch?

As I mentioned above, I have not completed that task. In spite of this, it'd likely run if you cut it in half, as it isn't knit. Buying a narrower elastic right away is probably the best course of action. It might be of some help.

It says the item is not waterproof, but why is that? In fact, if it can be washed in the washing machine, how can it possibly not be ?

It is generally a good idea to "waterproof" your swimwear elastics. This elastic is unsuitable for swimwear, thus the reason for this note. Despite this, this elastic can be machine washed in warm water and machine dried on a low setting.

My bottom needed to be repaired - exactly what I needed A sheet

still have a good number of bed sheets, but the bottoms were damaged when I washed them It is no longer possible to stretch the sheets. Using this method you can easily fix those sheets and save yourself a lot of money as opposed to buying new ones. It is hard for me to buy new sheets since I love my existing ones, and I don't want to risk getting a less comfortable alternative In this case, repairing them was my best option.

I used this to replace draw cords in my husband's shorts, and it works perfectly

Simply pin one end of the cord to the end of the elastic, proceed to pull the elastic through the channel in the waist band, tie the ends of the elastic, trim the ends, and discard the old cord. The shorts are now ready for wearing. It is easy to stretch out the elastic by pulling it tighter and readjusting it Embroider the trim and tuck the ends in. Draw cords are a bad idea, who ever thought of it?.

I haven't used it yet but when I do I see nothing wrong with it, so I'm sure I'll like it for As it is, I have plenty of elastic to last me until the end of time but, it was the only way I could get the right size.
