I make affordable N99s for people, but I've been ripped off, and I've had extreme inflation and obscene wait times, so I've been mostly buying from Etsy. This is a different type of elastic, but it offers a lot more for a lot less money. I'm not sure how long it'll last, but it appears to be on par with store-bought masks. This is a seller I'll buy from again.
This is something I have a lot of. I have more than enough materials to make masks for the entire family. This cord is extremely flexible and soft. It has no effect on me or my family in terms of irritability, pain, or soreness. I think it's a fantastic cord for making face masks. I've tried other cords, but they don't feel as comfortable on my ears as this one does. This purchase has given me a lot of joy. br>Please let me know if you find my images useful.
When I first saw this, I was disappointed. It's not a quarter of an inch; it's a quarter of an It's not even close to the advertised 5 cm (1/4" is slightly more than 6 cm). I ironed a tiny end piece at a medium setting very lightly before deciding whether or not to return it. The elastic flattened slightly but did not melt, so I ironed a larger section again, very lightly, and it changed its properties slightly, having more of an edge and being slightly less soft, but it did not melt or become hard. That has been the biggest issue I've had with the braided elastic; it hasn't melted or become hard. To keep that elastic from melting, tuck it far away from the iron. (The knit elastic is fine for ironing. ) ) I figured I'd give it a shot because I'm making a lot of masks for kids right now, and several reviewers said it worked better around the ears.
It's super stretchy and soft, making it ideal for layering. Earplugs that don't give you a headache The only drawback is that it arrived in a plastic bag and took me 30 minutes to untangle all 55 yards after just one use. I made that spool out of a paper towel roll in the picture. This is extremely effective.
Quarantine and pandemic are two words that come to mind when thinking about the 19th century. I wasn't sure how this elastic would turn out, but I'm happy to report that it's fantastic! Soft, stretchy (and keeps its stretch after washing), and simple to sew in. If I run out, I'll place another order. I've also shared the link with a few others so they can purchase it as well.
They're ready to go now that they've been lined with interfacing.
This elastic is ideal for face masks because it is soft and gentle on the ears, which is why I purchased it. As a result, I'm looking forward to putting it to use. Unfortunately, I don't think it'd be suitable for garment sewing because it doesn't feel particularly high-quality or hold its stretch well. Is it possible that it would be suitable for lengerie?.
The item was delivered ahead of schedule. I would strongly suggest it.
