In order to connect a 55" TV to my Wii, I bought this cable however, most TVs these days have no RCA inputs, so I can't use standard Wii cables. It worked great and saved Thanksgiving, just plug the converter into the Wii and run the HDMI cable to the television. I am amazed at how simple it was!
There's no point in buying this product as it did not work. Tech support told me to send them a video, which I sent, but I never heard back.

Here are the functions of this device Please note that. The converter converts your analog 480i component signal to a digital 480p signal, which is output over HDMI*Note this device does NOT transform DVI to HDMI or vice versa. Please note that. A digital HD 720p/1080p over HDMI signal converted from your Wii's standard video signal.
Whatever you connect your Wii to with this device (TV, Monitor, or Capture Card), make sure If you do not have a HDMI upscaler, you will need to either buy another device or purchase one separately. You can't play HD games on the Wii, so if you want to play Wii games in HD, you need In my haste to plug in the monitor, I didn't check whether it supported 480p over HDMI before plugging in, and surprise surprise, there was no signal at all. I'm responsible for that, not the people who made the video. Eventually, I found a TV that supported 480p over HDMI, and it worked just fine. It provided much more clear video than the standard composite cables that come with the Wii, but it was also more convenient than component cables that not all new TVs or Capture Cards support anymore.
To get the Wii working properly, I have to set the Wii to 480i otherwise the TV will flicker and loses sync. The video is great when set to 480i. The output signal of the Wii that I'm using (1st gen, the one that plays GameCube games, too) appears to be at odds with the adapter output. The adapter seems to want to convert the signal from 480i to 480p itself since it wants to convert it Once the signal is down the HDMI cable to the TV, the 480p signal is received. Since I have tested it on 3 different TVs (an LG and Vizio as well) and got the same results, I am pretty confident this is a right assessment. There should be a note in the documentation explaining this.
It does work GREAT with this one caveat except for that - Once you set your Wii to 480i (not 480p), then you will be able to play. I didn't deduct a star for this issue, because there wasn't enough for me to do so. In fact, they should explain this to at least some people, it would save them time and headaches when setting up the account.
Having read the reviews, I was a little anxious, but I figured I'd give it a try since the positive reviews outweighed the negative ones. Having done so has made my life so much better and so have my children. You gotta try this converter if you're a fan! It does not output the HD picture but it is not the adapter's fault, but rather the console. The difference between the two cannot be discerned, however. Here are some photos for your reference. Connected to an LG smart TV, mine is connected to an Apple TV. It hasn't been a problem, there haven't been any delays, don't know if there are any other things people have seen written It is impossible to access my Amazon Prime app through my LG TV, but I cannot view it through the app through my TV either as LG does not provide the appropriate security for this model. As such, Amazon will not offer support for In terms of price and quality, I truly believe you can't get better and I recommend it highly.
It took me a while to be convinced, but the Wii came with a problem connecting correctly to my video inputs. The converter arrived exactly when it was promised. Using my TV as a display, I connected it. "No signal" was displayed on the TV. "I knew it wouldn't work - I knew something like this hadn't worked before. It didn't cost much, so it wasn't a big deal. My convertor wasn't fully connected to the Wii when I pulled it out of the HDMI port on my TV. I had forgotten to connect the convertor all the way By pushing in the plug, I connected it. I'm so happy! I was surprised at how well I could get along with it. This product has made my life much easier. * Bryce Walker was the problem, not the product.
The company's nbsp Wii device is super easy to use. Simply plug in the HDMI cable (a nice bonus) and connect the device directly to your Wii and the HDMI cable to your TV - that's it! It worked like a charm! Now, we can use the Wii on new TVs that don't have component or In fact, I found this to perform better than a component cable I was using previously. It's for some reason that Gamecube HDMI adapters are more expensive than other HDMI adapters. It works fine since the Wii will play games from the GC. ****Warning Make sure you don't get carried away by contemporary game consoles. The picture quality is still good even though it won't make your games render in 1080p! Super Mario Sunshine did not show any artifacts or flickering during the hours I spent playing it.
The HDMI cable (nice quality cable provided with adaptor) was connected to the TV, then the cable was connected to the converter, and finally the converter was connected Then bingo, bongo, bango I've switched my Samsung 40" Smart TV to full screen so my games now display full screen. I do not believe this is 4K gaming, but the game fills the entire screen, looks great, and is sized properly. There doesn't seem to be any stretching or distortion I love the clean appearance of the video. There is only one HDMI cable being used here. I connect the adapter to my TV using just the HDMI cable and the video and audio are transmitted. There was no need for a second audio cable. Despite the Wii being a retro console you might still be using the RCA or Component ports to connect your Wii to the television. Buy this adapter and you will have an excellent gaming experience.
I'm happy with the way things are going so far! The equipment just arrived today, so we hooked it up right away. We were very excited that we were now able to play all of our Wii games (as well as some retro Sega games) in the living room instead of our It was very simple to install. See the picture and read the caption In my opinion, the sound quality on my 70+" TCL Roku TV is excellent. It doesn't make sense to me why so many people are complaining about A grainy fuzzy picture was what I expected, but this is nothing like that. Is it possible that others have a poor TV? With a shrug.
If you're looking to connect your Wii to a TV that requires an HDMI input, this inexpensive solution is a good choice. As a result, the Wii can continue to be used for many.
