was looking for a replacement cord for my original one, so I found this. I don't think it's hard to get the cable out of the box. There seems to be no good reason for it. A second problem is the fitting of the part that plugs into the PS3. There is a small plug on the device that could cause problems if someone bumped it while it was charging. The signal stops until the cord is repositioned and a good connection is made.

What a terrible situation

The only thing I didn't like? Nothing is inside the box, the cable comes off easily out of it, and the yellow end isn't even a good fit for the PS3, so you have to hold it whole with the cord attached. We do not recommend it 100%.
