Mine was a perfect match. It certainly appears to be different, even though both of the items I purchased were functional. It appears that there was a flaw in the batteries that caused them to inflate and become dangerous over time as they deteriorated. So there are a lot of different battery types. The original first-generation model, according to what I've heard, is different, but I have a PSP 2001.
As a result, I purchased four of them. After a few months, 3/4 of them were still working. The number of people in 2/4 began to decrease. That, in a nutshell, is your response. They'll be obsolete soon, so I'd either stick with OEM and pay the money, or dump the systems, which I've unfortunately done now. But, oh well, a table will do the job just as well.
I don't have any idea. Mine is from 2003, and it didn't work because my PS3 was broken at the time. Sorry, but I'm unable to assist you.

My device was stored in the attic for years, and the battery eventually depleted to the point where it no longer functions. When I replaced it with this one, it worked exactly the same as when I had the original battery.
not good.

I was a decent suffocator.

The battery in the psp 3001 does not fit properly. A hard reset will be forced if the system is wiggled incorrectly while this is in place.
My battery stopped charging a few months after I bought it, and my PS3 won't turn on with it in the slot.
