I just purchased this a couple of weeks ago, and it was my first time ever having a wireless headset. Aside from this, I put my research to the test and decided between Razer, Steelseries, There was much talk about how superior the SteelSeries Arctis 7 was in terms of the quality of the sound. You know what I guess?
I hate the sound. The first thing I did after getting the headset was update the SteelSeries Engine 3 software and patch the headset, but the soundstage in my ears was skewed to the left by about 30 degrees. I hear everything in my ears coming from the left side, so everything seems to be coming from there. There were times when nothing could be seen No matter what I was listening to or what I was playing, I heard the sound by slanting I've changed Engine 3 settings a few times but haven't had any luck. I did what any sane individual would do - I ordered my order. During the month of September 2018, I contacted the Steelseris customer service team. It takes them about two to three days to reply to every message Work will be completed within 3 Aside from the slow response time, the customer service representative did not seem to know why the issue was occurring. It was only two options that he suggested. As he explained to me, there is a magical button hidden in the left earcup that allows me to reset the hardware. In order to get the headset to reset, I had to peel off the cushioning, find a pin from an iPhone, and hold the button for a certain amount of time. Because I could not find any indication as to whether it worked, I had to just hope it did. (This method works once you realize that you have to re The headset must be paired with the USB receiver that was included. 1) After the re-design While the soundstage was skewed to the left after pairing with the receiver, the issue was improved perhaps by five degrees. When the volume is lower, the problem becomes more obvious. After a brief consultation, the customer service representative suggested going to the RMA process right away. The support staff suggested that I send my receipt to demand an RMA as long as I send proof of the damaged product (screenshot) - they agreed to do this conditionally. A series of photos are taken of the left earcup cut off and the serial number visible. On 14 October, I ended up doing that. My RMA has been declined on 16 October, and I am still waiting to hear back from them. The reasons for this are not explained at all. Here's a recap of what we've been talking about. The Steeleries company sold me a product that had an odd issue, took nearly two weeks to get back to me, agreed to RMA my purchase, then proceeded to make me regret it by telling me that the RMA was You can take this as a lesson learned I recommend that you do not buy their products. The Wonky Dog. It is defective. It is a product of pathetic customer service. A RISK ABUNDANT THOUGH YOU WILL BE SCREWED OVER WITHOUT ANY REASON.
I would think that for $150 these would be an impressive pair of headphones, however there are quite a few issues that deter me. returned them after seeing other reviews mentioned these issues. I was bothered by these issues so much that I returned them in the end. I absolutely do not recommend this!
First of all, I wear 12-hour headphones all day long. During the week, we operate for 18 hours per day. In order to get some sleep, to do some work, and to be entertained. My collection of headphones is decent, and I have at least a dozen of them. 1) Holy distortion, Batman! In comparison to $35 bluetooth units), these units produce massive Over 50% of these are so bad I can hardly believe it! As he does so, he also puts on a hat. Almost any kind of music) and then you can't make out what it is you're listening to any more. 2) The volume roller is EXTREMELY easy to adjust sometimes. Honestly, I do not know how that happens. My headphones or mic are so loose that I am constantly adjusting their volume, and since the volume controls are so loose, it's almost impossible to dial in "just the right" amount. An extremely annoying situation! 3) There is no media control on them. What's the reason? By using a push-button Adding a volume button combination to the remote would solve the "too easy to adjust" volume issue, as well as allow media controls through the long press function. 4) The ear pieces are extremely Often, I wear headphones when I work out, but these burn my ears up in a matter of minutes, so I have to remove them temporarily or adjust them. In this regard, the volume knob is ALWAYS accidentally adjusted as well, which is a direct result of point #2. 5) These block absolutely no ways out. The sound that I make can often be heard by others, and they also hear what I listen to. In light of the ears' inability to hear, this makes no sense Air doesn't seem to be able to flow through the pads. 6) The mic disable button turns an LED on. In what way? As a result, your mic doesn't have a light when it's on. Whenever the mic is turned off, such as when you listen to music or just hang out, there is a BRIGHT RED LED on 100% of the time. What the heck? Do you understand what I'm saying? 1) I can easily get and maintain a decent quality of sound with this headphone. For any headset in my collection, I crank every setting all the way up to 100% to equal 30%. What's the reason? I don't like my mic! 8) The speaker is terrible! The fact that anyone with an ounce of intelligence could believe this mic is anything other than painfully subpar is beyond belief. 9). The ear pads do go around your ears, however the speaker mesh is too shallow and will lightly alone would make it unbearable, but the combination with the other issues makes it even more unbearable. Lastly, the surround sound effect is barely audible. Even when running the same surround sound tests twice, I do not notice a difference between regular 2 and surround 6. There are no phones other than I don't think so. There is also a VERY VERY VERY specific position one MUST position these or they will only be able to transmit about 70% of what is being broadcasted. It is really terrible to have to place them in the VERY special spot that they must be in. It is impossible to even remotely position your ears correctly unless you bend them and fold them. 11) I know I said 10 was the final number, however, it leads to a different In almost every way, these are uncomfortable. Your jaw will hurt after a short session, since the bottoms press right into your jaw hinge, and your ears will be sweaty due to the complete lack of ventilation (like putting your ears in a wool coat in July in Florida! That swamp is really nasty! )
Ahead of coming from a company that specializes in headphones, these are sadly lacking in design. My overall headset ranking is one of the worst I've ever had. You should not recommend anyone no matter what their purpose is!.
