Razer Kraken Gaming Headset: Lightweight Aluminum Frame, Retractable Noise Isolating Microphone, for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X & S, Mobile, 3.5 mm Audio Jack – Green

I decided to get this Kraken headset since it is comfortable, functional, stylish, and inexpensive. Having my skull cracked after two minutes felt like a bomb went off inside of me I was sore from using the headphones for 3 hours. The Blue Snowball's acoustics are incredible, but I wouldn't want to use two headsets at once. Instead, I wanted a headset with a mic integrated for Zoom and gaming, rather than using a headset AND the In my opinion, the Kraken is Does the hype justify the price tag? There is no doubt that this headset really does live up to its hype and that this is not just another brand that ships crappy equipment for a high price. Some of their other headsets aren't so well reviewed, which makes me hesitate to recommend them. While this headset is pretty basic, it is functional and comfortable. This product is exceptional value, especially when you consider Amazon sells it for less than their MSRP. Among the Pros Please note - They have quality cooling technology built into their earmuffs. Please note - It doesn't crack your skull, and the top of the headset doesn't dig into it. My favorite part of the mic is that it retracts, which I love*- A great first impression is given by the packaging - It comes with an extension cable with a dedicated microphone and audio jack, a nice touch for large desks like mine*. It is comfortable to wear for hours up to three days. Please note - I just can't stand the lower volume range that's available with the volume dial on the audio cable. The balance between left and right just shifts randomly when you use the integrated volume dial to go from high to low volume. I don't know if this is just my unit. Having to adjust the volume during a game can be really annoying. The best thing you can do if this happens to you is turn up the volume quite high on the OS side, and then use your keyboard to adjust the volume on the OS side, rather than the hardware side*- Unfortunately, the microphone has some issues with MacOS on my Hackintosh computer. I'm not sure why, but I'll keep trying. Please note - I think it will save my ears for the rest of its life, although the ears are a little bigger than I had expected. Turtle Beach on Xbox has an integrated volume balance feature that I could use on the cable for voice-chat & game play. While I understand the tournament edition contains these extras, I'm not sure if it's worth the additional $40. Putting that stupid USB unit back in and redesigning it for the tournament edition would make this headset the best, hands down, headset around for $60. A brief summary Cons and pros are taken into account - This headset has become a favorite of mine. There are of course flaws with technology, as with all other things in life. It is certain Razer will introduce some killer features to dominate the gaming market over the next few generations of the headset. If you're looking for a headset that is comfortable, functional, stylish, and inexpensive, then this is what you should consider. With the features included in this headset, there aren't any better options. It is possible to buy 70 for 70.

I have a problem with the mic being too short and It is necessary to turn up the mic monitoring all the way to hear yourself, which results in buzzing sounds. Due to the absence of a wind sock, you hear wind sounds. Though the headphones don't work well, they're fine. Back in action.

I can't hear my husband when I have them on because they are so cute, girly, and eliminate background noise. While he is talking to me, I can't hear him at all, Getting the kitten ears that attach to the top of the headphones would be a great idea if you're a total girly girl or just want your gaming/computer station to look girly. It's a great pair of headphones and I will be buying the matching Razer products.

It took me a bit to figure out some audio issues in the beginning, since at first only the left side of the speaker worked, but I think it was a combination of drivers and making sure my settings were correct and to plug it in correctly. I have had them for quite a few months now and they are still in great shape! Although not as comfortable as you'd like, it's still a great quality piece. Recommended for use**.

The materials are not There was a break in the cable between the audio adjuster and the cord. I find it sad that this happens only two months after the item was purchased. Force was not used to make the sale. The item is not something I would purchase and I would not recommend it.

My family and I use these headsets with a PS4 and are very happy with them, although I must confess these are the only "gaming" headphones we've ever tried, so I really don't know how they compare to currently own a Razer Blade Pro laptop, which is by far my favorite laptop (even better than a MacBook Pro). Consequently, my decision was based almost exclusively on my very positive past experiences with Razer computers. For comfort, I would certainly give them a five-star rating. My ears never feel like they sweat upon using them and they do not start to feel warm after a period of time. Regardless of how many hours I wear them, they always feel comfortable and I don't have to remove them for a break no matter how long I wear them. My headphones are actually so comfortable that I lose track of them. One thing I don't like about the volume control is that it is always too loud. There is a dial on the cable just like on any other headphone, but the problem is that it is a free-moving dial As if it were spinning, the dial is rolling. Unlike the type of dial where you move your fingers so it doesn't move except when you turn it up or down, or like the type where you hear a clicking sound as you move it up or down a notch, this dial actually moves when you turn it up or down. Thus, whenever you move (such as when changing positions or reaching for a drink of water), its surface rubs against your clothes and the volume changes slowly. It is not enough to simply set the volume and forget about The frequency seems to be about every 15 minutes For the next 30 minutes, I must check it to make sure that the volume is still our. It takes a little while to get accustomed to the constant checking, but they definitely should have designed it better. To me, it does not make any sense. I have used many different types of headphones in the past (for music, etc. ) with similar volume controls, but none had volume controls that changed with just the slightest touch. Since I do not use the microphone, I cannot give an opinion on its use. There are no visible wires. It retracts into the headphones so well that you don't even feel that In fact, if the headphones weren't so comfortable and I hadn't already been a fan of Razer products, I would have given them a three star rating due to the volume control issues, and might even have I think I should contact them in order to find out whether this is really how it works or if I received a defective pair after reading my own review.

Last time I bought headphones, I got a pair of Hyper X cloud 2. Despite the fact I got a few complaints about the Hyper X Cloud 2, they were a great headset. It was a cord split and a faulty mic that I had to deal with. As a user, I can tell you honestly that the 2019 Razer Kraken is not just 20 years old. I received these for less than $100 cheaper than my previous set and they also are My surprise was that they sounded better than they did before. This headset is a no-brainer for me, and it is the best value for money. The mic is retractable and there is a volume adjustment on the cord.
