Questions & Answers

Is there a wireless version of this?

Unfortunately, this is not a wireless device. They don't want the Xbox Elite and Xbox Elite Two controllers to be in direct competition. br>THE ONE THAT MOST EXACTLY MATCHES THIS - That IS a wireless device. is the Fusion brand, which isn't particularly good- It snaps far too easily.

Is it possible to map the extra buttons (paddles and shoulder button) to bumpers and triggers? Is this something Scuf won't let you do?

Yes, the bumpers and triggers can be moved to the additional paddles and shoulder buttons.

Is a Turtle Beach wired headset compatible with it?

It doesn't matter if it's a 3, as long as it's a 3. It will work with a 5mm audio jack.

Is it compatible with the Xbox Series X?

Yes. It works with the XBox X series of consoles.

REMEMBER TO STAY AWAY (updated)
3/5

Overdue for the most recent update: After some back and forth, Razor agreed to honor the warranty. Although I am dissatisfied with the procedure, they should be commended for resolving the problem. br>br>An older review can be found below linebr>br>Warranty claims should be avoided. Because I purchased this on Amazon, Razer support appears to be giving me the runaround. It was even labeled as an "Amazon's Choice" product. Electronics101deals appears to be the seller, and Razer claims that they are not an authorized reseller. After support confirmed a hardware issue, I've been trying to figure out how to replace my controller for the past week. My thumb on the left side- Because the stick does not register, it is difficult to move in FPS. This will be updated on a regular basis. My original review can be found at the bottom of this page.
- br>Previous Headline: A great alternative to the Elite Controllerbr>br>This review is for the tournament edition; the ultimate edition has a few additional features. br>br>I've been using this controller for a few months and would recommend it to anyone looking for back buttons or a more tactile experience with the face buttons (x, y, a, b). To compete with online players at a high level, I play a lot of FPS games where you either need extra buttons on the back or you have to learn how to do the claw grip. I used to use an elite, which I adored until it broke recently. Two factors influenced my decision to try this controller. First, unlike the elite, the warranty was for a full year; second, it was much less expensive than replacing the elite; and finally, I would buy it again and recommend it to other gamers. Advantages: br>br>
- Price is lower than elite or scufbr>- The face buttons are extremely comfortable to use (much like a mechanical keyboard)br>- The M1 and M2 buttons are actually quite useful. br>- Chroma lighting is cool, but it's primarily used to identify which profile is active. br>- The remap software is simple to use and loads quickly. br>br>Cons:
- The back buttons are better than Scuf's, but not as easy to use as elite (mostly due to personal preference). br>- Only wired (which should be for competitive purposes anyway)br>- Thumb that can't be replaced sticks (this is a one-size-fits-all situation)br>- Only M1, M2, M3, and M4 buttons can be remapped with software (standard buttons are not configurable). br>- To change profiles, you must use the app (which is very quick).

PLEASE READ Rocket League Broke in One Day
3/5

In Rocket League trainers, I used this product for 5 hours. Tornado flicking is accomplished by assigning left and right air roll to the back buttons. The boost button (B) randomly stopped working in the middle of a game after I spent 5 hours learning it and getting COMPLETELY REPROGRAMMED in my brain to use the back buttons to air roll left and right. I took it to training and discovered that the button would randomly not register, so I wasn't able to boost. This has also been mentioned in a number of other one-star reviews. Moreover, the right trigger was initially sticky but was already squeaking after 5 hours of play. br>br>ADDITIONALLY, I spent an hour and a half trying to get the "plug-in" to work, and I had to contact Razor support. It's a "plug-and-play" system that works with Steam games. HINT: For some reason, you must disable XBox controller configuration support. br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br 5 hours of struggling to get it to work, followed by 5 hours of actually using it and getting excited about my new game prospects: D, it has a button that consistently stops working and a trigger that goes from sticky to squeaky. (((( . I'm not happy with this controller, and I wouldn't recommend it to a friend. At the very least, anyone who SERIOUSLY games or requires CONSISTENT precision in their inputs, though not for competitive games like Rocket League (unless you're a silver lol). br>br>It perplexes me that a product marketed as "plug-and-play" is not actually plug-and-play. In a single day, a $120 and-play would cause a LOT of stress and disappointment. Because SCUF has been out of stock for over 4 weeks, with "No known ETA on when we'll be restocking our XBox controllers" (according to their support, which I contacted), I gave in and bought this. I suppose you should learn from my mistake and wait for SCUF to restock (with an unknown ETA), because there's a good chance you'll end up with one of these controllers that's completely unusable in 1-week. This is something that is marketed to serious gamers with precision needs, and it absolutely fails that test; combine that with the consistent theme of this (and very similar problems with the back buttons) mentioned in other 1 star reviews, and it becomes clear that there is likely something low quality in the manufacturing process. Another reviewer stated that he received a replacement only to have the same problem occur once more. As a result, I'm issuing a refund rather than giving them a second chance. You don't deserve $120 of my money if you can't make a product that can withstand even a single work day of gaming.
