Questions & Answers

Are you able to pull off a shoryuken with him?

A version of this controller is faster than the PlayStation 4, Xbox One X and 8bitdo gamepads - wireless or wired - making it even better than the SNES original

Can you tell me how long the USB cable is? This can't be found on Amazon or Buffalo's site (I'm a complete amateur when it comes to Japanese). ?

While I do not have a measuring tape in front of me, I would estimate the length to be about 6 feet.

Have you used an Android emulator to play this game?

As far as I know, Android works perfectly. I used it a lot with an OTG hub while using my GS6. It works flawlessly with RetroArch as well as any emulator or game I throw This also works on Mac OS X and Windows 10.

What is the maximum amount of dust this container can hold until it cannot contain anymore Does it function?

The answer varies according to what type of Dorito you're referring to. You would be able to get more mileage out of a Cool Ranch tan than from the more traditional Nacho

Raspberry Pi and RetroPie are both great for the Raspberry Pi (Read my RetroPie Tips)
5/5

Originally published in 2014, this review has been updated with information due to 2017, etc.

I wrote the As for the product, I agree with the following thoughts It is a great tool that I still use. Unfortunately, the technical information that I provided has outgrown its usefulness. The new version of RetroPie is smarter and no configuration files are required anymore. I would like to thank all of you for your Helpful votes and In all honesty, I bought it for my Raspberry Pi loaded with RetroPie because it works in Mac, Windows, or Linux. Unlike many other people I have heard of, I actually buy RetroPie with a Raspberry Pi. The cons are There are all kinds of instructions in here- The Japanese language. However, since you do not need them, why should you care? The pros are The going is tough. Despite having been dropped so many times, this thing is still in perfect shape. I don't feel as if it'll break apart if you torque it while aggressively playing a game. This weight is good. The weight should be moderate and the weight should not be There are no drivers needed for this program. There is a good length cord to the electric system. I like the feeling of the buttons The layout is the same as that of the Super NES control, so you should find it This RetroPie is decently priced.

Tips for using The switch has 10 buttons, yet there are only 8 shown on the screen There are no buttons for actions on a "button" gamepad because the Turbo and Clear buttons are modifier In fact, the operating system has no way of displaying these buttons, and makes no attempt to do so. You cannot turn Turbo or Clear on when you configure the gamepad in EmulationStation or through any other configuration tool. It is built-in to the controller itself to turbo and clear. You can apply turbo by pressing the following button To apply a Turbo effect, press and hold Turbo, then press the button for which you wish to apply it. Enable turbo for button A by pressing the Turbo key + A. In order to turn turbo off for A, you must press Turbo can be turned on or off independently for each button, so you can have it enabled for buttons A and X, but not B and During setup, this controller (and all controllers) need TWO settings There is a menu system for EmualtionStation (the menu system), and a games system. It's easy to do the first one because you use a graphical tool to step Secondly, even after you have configured it for games, some emulators - like that for SNES - will mix up the buttons. You have to edit a text file to configure it for games. If you want this to be fixed, you must specify another In order to resolve both of these issues, you should (1) Exit EmulationStation to the console and optionally start LX (startx). (2) Add the following to the command line The input_player1_down_axis should be set to "+1" and the input_player1_left_axis should be set to "-" It is a left-handed man With the front button pressed, you can exit out of games and return to the EmulationStation's main By clicking the right button, you will see the in-depth information Using the gamepad doesn't change the game's menu items even though you go up and down. There is a possibility that this is a side-effect of the linuxraw driver used If you want to skip the linuxraw line, you can comment it out or use a keyboard to follow it. You can choose your favourite game from the I hope others are able to save lots of time by following this! As for me, it took many hours to sort them out.

Feels extremely good and of exceptional quality
5/5

You're getting the best of both worlds here! It costs me 50 bucks to get an original SNES usb controller from Infinite Nes Lives. I am impressed with the quality of the controller, but the price tag is a bit unappealing. I wanted a second SNES pad for 2 player action, but I couldn't bear to spend another 50 dollars, so I did some research and discovered the Buffalo brand has quite a following between old and new gamers alike. I couldn't refuse for the price and purchased In my experience, the headset performs flawlessly, and I am extremely pleased with how it feels. According to numerous reviewers here, there is a slight weight difference between the buffalo controller and the original Japan controller (as noted during side by side comparisons) and the buffalo controller has a slightly elevated D-pad compared to the original Famicom pad. I only notice a real difference in the lighter weight of the buffalo controller, which makes it easier to handle in my seasoned retro gaming hands. In order to match the weight of the original controller, I have ordered a roll of lead tape and shall weigh out a strip from that to be applied to the inside of the back half of the controller shell. In spite of that minor flaw, this is a great book! It's very difficult to find anything to complain about when it comes to picking. Unless the game pad is physically moved on top of the game pad, the turbo buttons should be situated more As I don't use these buttons, I may just end up getting rid of them altogether. They are easy to accidentally hit instead of start/select. Attached you will find numerous photos comparing the weight of the 2 game pads, the thickness of different parts of the controller, and other aspects of the

The bottom line is that if you are looking for a nearly 100% replica of the original super famicom game pad, you've come to the right place. I agree that there are minor differences, but the price gap between a real one and this one is a far greater factor than diminishing returns unless you're a collector, in which case you probably already own one or more of the original game pads already.

Inputs that appear in retropie as ghosts or phantoms
3/5

As I am writing this mediocre review of the Buffalo controller, I am sorry to do so. I love the way it feels in my hands, how responsive it is, and how well constructed it looks. Soon after I plugged in my retropie, I noticed that the controller was randomly moving left/right/up/down through the menus every few minutes. Enter 'ghost input' or 'phantom input' and 'iBuffalo controller' in the online search engine I'm not the only one with this problem. My computer won't start after I unplug it and plug it back in. However, I also tried the other controller in the hopes it was just the one that was buggy. The bottom line is that I would steer clear of this controller if you want to use it with your retropie.
