Questions & Answers

I figured I would ask how heavy a seat is. ?

Can you tell me if this cockpit is the whole thing or just the seats (apart from the rest). There is a total weight of 120 pounds in this cockpit. About 30 lbs or so is the weight of the seat itself. That's all I have for now.

If I want to put three monitors on three TVs, what size monitors can I use and how do I configure them to look ?

compatible with VESA On the back, there is a bolt pattern). When the desktop is spread across three monitors, the desktop is sized to fit within the desktop bezels provided that you enable a setting in the graphics card configuration.

Is this item going to take up a lot of room? Thanks. ?

As the other people have suggested, I believe 5 ft by 5 ft is the right size. The ideal placement is in the corner of the room in order to take up the least amount of space.

Does it only fit 24" or taller?

The absolute maximum size for a single monitor (or larger) is 34", but if you plan to connect three of them, the best size is 27 inches, with the maximum size recommended being 32". You need to ensure that your monitors have the VESA mounting pattern (4 holes).

Not bad at all - Invest your money in something worthwhile
3/5

It's just the second time I've reviewed a product and I find its design to be unacceptable. The first thing I did was send an e-mail Never received a response to a mail sent to the company. Moreover, there is no phone number for anyone to call. It is not possible to tilt the monitor horizontally or vertically with the monitor stand. It is bulky to use the VESA mount on the monitor stand. I was not satisfied with the length of the screws that came with the product. The monitor must have its video ports on the bottom to work. A VESA mount blocks ports at the back if the ports are located at the back. You can't watch assembly videos on YouTube. I found the assembly of the seat VERY difficult to mount and assemble. It does not come with a shelf for the PC, so you must leave it on the ground. It is my sincere hope that this has been.

This is a really cool I have actually been looking for a flight simulation pit to use with my VR setup
5/5

There is no need for anything fancy. The chair should be both solid and ergonomic, and should be This is the rig I spent more than a month considering, but I couldn't be happier with it! I had just found exactly what I had been Assembling it is quick and straightforward. That box was so solid that I felt sorry for UPS's poor delivery person who wheeled it up my driveway and was gracious enough to tuck it It fits perfectly and all of my pedals are set up exactly where I need them. My favorite feature of this chair is how fast and easy it is to adjust. It's the ultimate gaming station even though the instructions limit what size monitor to use, and since I only needed 1, I was able to shoehorn a 55" Samsung 4K curved beast on that bracket by mounting a regular wall mount on the super solid monitor stand. I feel like I'm playing in my own IMAX when I play Xbox on it! As a matter of fact, I ordered an Besides the rest upgrade (directly from Volairsim), my only complaint would be that I would like some channels for routing cables or places for mounting a power strip or USB adapters, and it might be better to have a CPU mount in a better place. To hold my VR headset, it would be nice if there was something behind the seat. As well, I sometimes find that the two bots that hold the beams up (the frame is dark and hard to see) are painful if accidentally stepped on (when entering the pit, I sometimes step on them before I am told to). As for another one, if I were to build another side by side home, I would buy another one An rig on the side.

A tank built from the ground up
5/5

It took me a while to decide whether to spend money on the system. My initial impressions of the unit were not good, however the steel construction and build quality made me reconsider. I was able to put the entire unit together without involving additional help. It lined up nicely on the mounting surfaces and the drill holes I used lined up nicely too. Three 34" 1080p Sharp HDTVs were mounted on the system in the end. A fairly large and heavy house and its chassis is capable of supporting its weight when needed. There is no flex or wobble to be seen in the system. Climbing into a tank feels like climbing into a brick wall. On my HOTAS system, the unit still does not flex or move, even when I use jerky and aggressive input. The purchase was excellent. I can't recommend it enough. The following points should be considered The *br- If I were to mount anything larger than the three 34" screens, I am not sure I would succeed. I think it was reaching the upper limit of what the unit could handle in terms of screen size. It is possible that I am wrong. The *br- Despite my short height, I don't have a lot of muscle. Since I am 5'8", I would like to be just a bit closer to the keyboard tray if the seat could be adjusted another inch or two. Nevertheless, it is not a deal breaker and the mounting plates for the HOTAS system are completely adjustable, so it does not present any problems.

So let's get this straight
5/5

Unlike the sim structure, the 3 monitors do not come with it. There are separate sales for those. Putting together the structure is simple, and the seat is extremely Various iterations of the structure are possible, but you will find that it can be a tight fit for a range of adult heights. After connecting the seat to the desk panels, we realized there was more comfort coming from disconnecting it. It is essential to be aware that you will have to spend a lot more on screens, software, etc. A gaming hard drive isn't required but it is a great purchase for getting your simulator started.

I wish the mounting of the wheel was better, but otherwise it's good
4/5

To start, I want to say that the product is good and I would buy another if it was available. Furthermore, Volair's customer service is top notch. However, there are some things that should be emphasized that are very fair criticisms of a product of this type. However, I have not tried any competitors. Thus, maybe this is just the state of the art. My first complaint is that if a "Volair Sim 2" is ever made, I would like to see these issues addressed. My main concern is the fact that I believe this rig was designed for flight first, and that it also happens to work well for racing. Specifically, I am referring to the mounting point for the wheel having an amount of flex, which indicates that it has not been terribly well reinforced. Even though I think it will never break, the constant flexing with force feedback isn't what I would have liked. There are bolt on doodads that are superior, however, they still have a tiny bit of play unless very firmly tightened, so if you use something like a Fantatec Shifter you'll still have some play. For a flight simulator, I think this would be fine, but competition sim racing can be extremely violent, so I think I'll be rattling this thing constantly. In addition, I am not sure what the options are for placement of the wheel. It is your choice whether you wish to get closer and higher or to get further away. It must be tough for some drivers to get such a close and low wheel, right on the chest, and frankly that is just not possible with this thing, unless you have an incredibly slim or tall body type (I'm 5'11") in that case. Perhaps you could use different pedals that are higher up so you could stand closer to the machine. When I use G27, I have to choose between the perfect pedal placement or the perfect wheel There is a difference that I have tried to split.

Once again, the assembly of this item is a difficult I haven't noticed any errors in the other reviews. Five hours is the average amount of time you will spend It took me 8 hours to complete this task, and I learned a lot in the process. Some things like assembling the seat to the chassis are super difficult to do, and the instructions are too hard to understand. A rubber mallet was my most important tool in this assembly, since there were some parts I just had to beat into place with my hands. I am looking forward to receiving a copy of this report. Other notes (not all negative) - RECENT UPDATES There are no pre-requisites for this You will need to drill a hole It's a very nice feature, and I think there is a hole in the center for a bolt. The HOTAS on the left and right can then be positioned with the racing shifter on the right to use as a HOTAS. I'm perfect!

- As spelled out on the website, you will need M6 x 10 machine screws to mount the G27 pedals. Going to the store and getting longer ones will solve your problem. This was my first time using M6x16 and they looked good. *** * * Having three monitors mounted in such a good way is great. Strong, quality, and easy to use. *** * * One of the most incredible things about this chair is its seat. Frankly, it's worth an entire star just by itself. This headset appears to be of top quality, and it can be quite comfortable once you get all the settings just right.
