It's all made of plastic, don't worry. I misplaced the original cap, so I bought these to replace it. They're a little tight, but you get four of them, so you'll never be without one. Over the course of a year or so, I did manage to lose two of them.
You can either plug the end of the pencil directly into an iPad or use the small male to female connector that should have come with the pencil to charge it with a standard Apple charge cord once the cap has been removed.
Place it in the side of the iPad for a quick partial charge, or in the charger that came with the iPad for a full charge.
My wife makes use of the pencil holder loop thingy that comes with the case. She didn't have any issues. The caps are snug, but regardless of the caps used, you must exercise caution.

After paying $10 for four small pieces of silicone, I was almost enraged when this product arrived. I decided to open the box and try one out before returning them. The silicone rubber cap, to my surprise, was a perfect fit - a well-fitting glove with a nice appearance! My stylus' cap was magnetically attached to it. Worse, in order for the magnet to fully adhere to the top of the stylus, the cap had to be seated correctly - The design is not ideal. br>br>If you're anything like me, you'll lose your original stylus cap. The FRTMA for Apple Pencil Cap is a great alternative that won't fall off or get lost.
This company is professional, and the apple pencil "cap holder" is both attractive and functional, though the caps are a little difficult to slide on and off. They're made of rubber, which I didn't expect. I also purchased cap toppers and an adapter holder, both of which are fantastic. This company's safety caps, holders, and magnet sheath come highly recommended in my opinion. However, if you pay $8 to Apple, you will receive an authentic Apple replacement magnet cap. (Because you won't find it on the page, you'll have to call or email Apple's tech support). The combination of FRTMA cap toppers and the apple product is fantastic. I would recommend dealing with this firm because they will assist you with anything.
br>br>Update: It no longer fits as snugly after a few weeks. I've already misplaced one.
My wife misplaced her magnetic one, and I found mixed reviews on fit, finish, aftermarket or OEM price, and the hassle of getting a replacement from Apple. These have a slot that fits the pencil perfectly, and the fit is actually perfect!br>My wife uses hers on a daily basis, in and out of bags, at various jobs, and nearly everywhere she goes! There are no issues because the cap is still white and fits snugly. The fit is perfect, and the overall appearance is stunning. There's even another white on hand just in case, as well as more colors! The red one isn't too bright, so it'll go well with her reddish brown cover. "Would I buy it again?" I always ask myself. " Without a doubt, the answer is YES!.
I should've paid more attention to the description. These aren't like the original caps, which are made of hard plastic and are held in place by a magnet. They're also much more sleek and elegant. These are made of silicone and fit together with friction. They get the job done and are inexpensive, but the original is far superior. Except for the fact that it has a proclivity for getting lost.
It's not the same material as the original; it's more of a rubbery material, so if that's not your thing, you might not like it. It performs admirably for the purpose for which I purchased it, which is simply to serve as a cover. I would recommend it, and I only wish it came in a variety of colors, such as light purple, pink, or a baby blue. The white is my go-to, and you can get two white ones in a pack, which is great in case something goes wrong.
The original, which relied on a weak magnet to keep it in place, was an abysmal and unusual Apple design. They were also easy to crack – I went through two of them. These simple rubberized versions are reasonably priced and come in a set of four. Thank God there isn't a magnet.
My Apple Pencil magnetic cap was lost by my daughter. She has an iPad for school, and it popped off and got lost. br>br>I decided to give these rubber versions a try because they were cheap and came in a pack of four. br>br>They work well and have a good grip on the lightning connector. I'm hoping it will help keep the cap on the pencil more "snugly. ".
