Dear Sue, The NFC reader is located beneath the motherboard of the right joycon and is not built into the analog itself. It will have no effect as long as everything is reassembled properly.br>
Thank you for your interest in our joycon joystick repair tool kit, dear friend. br>Both joysticks are available in a variety of configurations. They can be used on either the left or right side of the joycon. There isn't any distinction between them.

Joycons are incredibly expensive for something that will start drifting 6 months after purchasing a new set because they are "two controllers" instead of one and "have the feature set of a full controller in each. " While opening the Joycons will void your warranty, I didn't mind because I've had my Switch for so long that I'm still covered under warranty. If you've never taken apart anything small before, disassembling both controllers and replacing the Sticks will take you about an hour.
But it isn't all bad. It was excellent value for money:)!.
Great replacement at a fraction of the cost, with all the tools needed to finish the job. Once you've gotten into the remots, all you have to do is unplug the failed joystick and plug this one in, and you're good to go. It took about 15 minutes for me to complete this task. I am not used to repairing electronic items and it took me 20 minutes per controler. Because new controlers are so costly, I decided to take a chance.
The screws on the Nintendo Switch are the wrong size. br>br>I only bought this because the screwdrivers were included. Now I have to go out and buy something else.
Despite a relatively simple installation of this replacement toggle, the controller continues to drift. Nothing has changed with / calibration.
It works, it saved my life, and it fixed the drifting joy cons that my friends and I were having. It'll work out for you in the end.
If you tighten the screws too much, they will strip. Overall, I'd purchase it again if the need arose.
The item is too pointy and sharp. I stripped my last screw to the point where it will never come out, and now I can't even turn on my Nintendo Switch lite.
