Yes, it works with both the new Nintendo 3DS XL and the new Nintendo 2DS XL (but not the original Nintendo 2DS).
I wish to say yes, because that is what my kids have. Case is a good purchase.

New Nintendo 2DS XL for my 5-year-old daughter. We bought a blue one for her older brother because it's so cool. As a result, her big brother received a Nintendo Switch for Christmas. While she is capable of playing the Switch, we felt it was a little too delicate (and expensive) for her to play as much as she would like (we limit her time on any video game system). So, because she was doing so well with the Switch, we decided to get her the New 2DS XL. For it, we needed a strong, well-made case. br>br>While she is (surprisingly) gentle with the Switch, WiiU, and 2DS, she is otherwise EXTREMELY rough. This case is exactly what I was looking for. It has a hard shell on the outside and a soft interior. It also has a lot of space. We can fit her 2DS XL, all of her games (it can hold 24 game cartridges), her wall charger, an 8-foot car charger cord, a smaller sized folded microfiber cleaning cloth, and it comes with a larger pen-sized stylus (thank you, G-Force). If she's old enough to use ear buds, a pair of those would also be appropriate. The handle is comfortable to hold and has a good grip. The zippers appear to be tough and durable, and they do not get stuck or tangled in any way. They zip up with ease as well. Our daughter was able to zip and unzip the bag on her own. Though she found zipping it up a little difficult at first - She was zipping like a pro once she figured out how to position and hold the case to get the zippers around the corners. br>br>So far, the outer shell's strength has proven to be adequate. She is gentle with her DS and has not yet dropped it; however, she has dropped this case several times with the DS inside. Cosmetically, the device was undamaged, and it functioned perfectly. I assume it worked because it was dropped from a low bed and a higher dresser onto a finished concrete floor, not carpet. br>br>The DS is hidden behind a mesh fabric partial sleeve, which keeps the system in place. It slides in easily, she can get it in and out on her own, and it keeps the DS securely in place. The mesh fabric is also found on the other side of the case, but it completely covers the "pocket" and zips shut in the middle. The DS will not fit in that side, but it will hold her wall charger, travel car charge cord (8ft), and cleaning cloth just fine, and the material on the outside of the case will remain clean(ish). Because she's a toddler, there's a chance she'll smear it with mystery dust. However, a simple baby wipe or a quick dusting will clean it up nicely. It does not appear to hold dirt or dust at this time, which is a major plus in my book. When we travel or wait in an office for an appointment, she carries it by the handle. br>br>I'm going to say something. It has a "bulky" feel to it. It would take up a lot of room in either my bag or her small backpack - As a result, she can easily carry it with the handle. Even stuffed full, the handle appears well attached to the case, so I doubt there will be a problem with the material (nylon of some kind, perhaps?). The connection point is fraying. The vast majority of this case does not bother me in the least. It has everything she requires in order for her to carry it on- the- When we take it somewhere, she feels like a big girl with the ability and responsibility to carry it. Seriously, this DS has come in handy on a few long car trips. and the case is great because she can bring all of her games with her, and I don't have to worry about lugging around cases or bringing the games in their boxes when we go somewhere. As a result, the bulk is required to accommodate everything you may desire or require. br>br>The bottom line. br>For any product, a toddler is the best quality control test. Our young lady adores her Nintendo DS as well as her protective case. It is approved by both the toddler and the mother. The father puts himself to the test. We bought a similar case for her older brother, but with a blue zipper, because this one works so well. It says it all that it's good enough to buy a second one for a 14-year-old boy who drops everything. If you're still on the fence, here's a good place to start. STOP. This case will protect your 3/2DS XL from damage in the event of an accidental drop, as well as all of your games and travel accessories. It's an added bonus that they provide you with a larger stylus. which is secured inside the case by a small elastic loop. The teeny tiny styluses that come with the New 2DS XL (I'm not sure what kind comes with the 3DS) irritate me greatly. It's simple to take out, but it's more difficult (at least for me) to put back in flush. It should've been able to grow with you. As a result, the case's inclusion of a larger one is advantageous. Although it is a "cheap" stylus, and we will be ordering better ones, it more than suffices in replacing the tiny one that comes with the system. Simply purchase this case. Choose from a variety of zipper colors. You will not be dissatisfied with your purchase.
This is absolutely stunning. It's extremely well-made and accomplishes exactly what it's supposed to. These were purchased in twos for my children. For their birthdays, I'm getting them each a Nintendo 3DS.
1. All of the game pouches were able to be used. Other cases received negative feedback due to insufficient game slots.
2. The dimensions are ideal for a 3ds Xl. It snugly fits the 3ds Xl games as well as the charger's components.
3. It has a fantastic appearance. I'm thinking about getting one for myself.
4. It also comes with a stylus, which is quite nice. br>br>I would strongly advise anyone to read this and give it a 10/10 or 5-star rating.
The quality of this case appears to be excellent. It has all of the necessary features and even includes a stylus, which my daughter appreciated because it is larger than the one that came with her 2DS xl. There are approximately 20 games in it. Even though her 2DS xl has a protective cover on it, it fits perfectly in this case. She appears to be in a good mood.
It was the perfect size, and it came with a stylus, which I wasn't aware of until I opened it. It's a case that's both soft and hard. It appears to be able to withstand a lot of abuse while still keeping the device safe. It's ideal for my 7-year-old son.
There are plenty of slots for games, as well as space for the charging cable. I would definitely buy it again.
Obviously, it will be a big hit with my daughter, but.
I like that it comes with a ds pen to write with.
It is a perfect fit. There are a lot of game storage slots. The carrying handle makes it easy for kids to transport everything in one bag!.
