True, unlike many of the nes and snes classic cases out there, this does not fit the genesis mini. However, this case isn't limited to any particular mini console. This will hold any individual mini console and accessories out now (November 22, 2019) due to its reasonable size and lack of hard fittings inside (the outer case is hard). There's plenty of room for two controllers and cords in the hard shell outer case. It's a little more than some other cases, but for me, it's perfect. I don't want to keep my mini consoles in their own cases. Just one for my current mini console, which I'd like to take to my family or a friend's house. The PS1, SNES, NES, and Genesis Mini will all fit in here (though not all at the same time).
This is an incredible product; I was initially skeptical due to the lack of a large number of reviews, but as you can see in the photos, it fits perfectly. Even though the controllers and system are still wrapped in plastic, which would normally take up additional space, the system, HDMI cable, and power cables, as well as the adapter, fit nicely in this case. Even the controllers fit nicely inside the zippered area, with enough room for a third controller if you buy an 8-button pad like I did. While this may appear to be a large case for a mini console, it isn't much bigger than the SNES Mini or PS1 Classic, and the extra space for a third controller is something that no other mini console case has. br>br>This is, without a doubt, the best mini console case I've ever seen. Granted, I've only recently opened it and have yet to play the system, but this is a review of the case. I haven't put it through its paces in terms of durability, but given how thick the outside padding is and how well the system fits inside, I'm not worried. I debated whether to give it four or five stars because only a few products have never disappointed me, but this is one of them. Well deserved five stars! This is a must-have for Mini Console fans!.
I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews. This case is a perfect fit for the Genesis classic mini. It has plenty of space and is extremely protective, as well as feeling high-quality and long-lasting. Personally, I adore this case and would strongly advise you to purchase one for your Genesis mini as well. Don't believe the negative reviews; they either received a defective product or have no idea what they're talking about.
It's clear that it wasn't made for the Genesis Mini, but it does fit. Only a few dots of glue hold the interior foam protective layer in place, and it quickly comes loose.
The quality is good, and there is no lingering odor or residue from the foam (which can be an issue with such items). br>Giving it four stars because it isn't quite done yet - The controller storage solution could use some work. You simply cram all of your controllers and cables into the zipper section right now. If there aren't enough items in there, they'll just bounce around and scuff each other.
It does, however, fit inside and will protect the unit during transportation.
For the Genesis mini, this is an excellent case. With plenty of room for two controllers, a power brick, and all necessary cables, this case is ideal. Very well done!.
My SEGA Mini fits perfectly in the case. The only flaw that keeps it from being a five-star product is the lack of security for the SEGA mini unit, which is something that the NES, SNES, and PS Mini cases all have in the form of foam. In any case, I would recommend the case as a good hard unit for keeping your system safe while traveling.
