Normally, I do not write product reviews but I felt it was important to provide information for others who may also be misled by this I bought it as a gift for my 20-year-old daughter Elmo is dear to my granddaughter, who is one month old. From the neck to the crotch and from the left side of the body to the right, the entire toy is composed of a hard plastic battery pack to which a thin piece of fabric is only thinly attached. There is literally no stuffing at all in the body of this allegedly huggable toy, and my granddaughter would not even consider a hard plastic battery pack a huggable toy. I am unable to determine how one is supposed to operate the device by "huggling" it, nor can her older brother. You can make it sing and talk if you press down firmly on a spot rather low on its tummy or lift its arms, but its repertoire is quite limited, and at times seems repetitive.
This stuffed animal is very different from my granddaughter's other stuffed animals, which are huggable and which require the child to place their finger or thumb on a certain part of the body to make them work.
