A much tighter squeeze is needed. I bought this plush toy for my granddaughter to give her as a gift. The only way you can hear Peppa talk is with an extreme squeeze, more like a hard push to your stomach. Peppa is thrilled though, because she thinks it sounds exactly She has Peppa in her left arm and another toy in her right hand while holding Peppa in her left arm.
