Do not buy for my son who weighs only 145 pounds; it must be a slow mover and old brittle plastic for this to occur.
The seat split in half after only a few uses by my 15-year-old stepdaughter (who is nowhere near the weight limit). The swing arrived on April 9th, was installed a few days later, and is now broken. She's only stayed with us every other weekend, so she's only used it for two weekends. That is NOT what I mean by "heavy duty. ".
