I cannot remove the buckles because they are so tight. I've also recently learned that no longer are some of these models on the market.

With just a few clicks, it clips into place and after the clip is unclipped, I can either let it hang down or push it straight up making it easier to remove the baby. The tree will be hung from the straps (which are not included) for an easier hanging process.
