No idea what the alphabet blocks are made of. They are solid, but the board they fit in is papery and flimsy. If I had known I'd have bought a solid wood board, I would have looked elsewhere

It is not worth the price for the high-quality alphabet blocks, the bag is cute, but the board is not solid wood or particle board, it is made from pressed paper or cardboard and has many places that are peeling. You won't be able to keep it for long if you play a lot.
The second puzzle I made for my 2-year-old is a bit simpler than the first one. I thought he was ready for it after watching a few cartoons about learning the alphabet. As a mother of an infant who chews on stuff, I didn't want to buy a cardboard puzzle. Besides being more durable, wood is also a more natural material. I really like the quality of the video! Since it is made from real wood and smooth, I don't worry about splinters at all! I don't have to worry about my baby choking on the pieces! The letters are chunky in size! It's a great book for when he learns colors because the colors are bright! The piece he thinks is saying the letter he thinks it is always makes him happy when he brings it to me. The numbers one will definitely be my next purchase! He will have them all correct eventually!.
He was able to identify some of the letters the second time we did the puzzle since all the letters were in their correct spots. He can easily hold the letters with his small hands, since the letters are just the right thickness. The one he chooses every day is one of two letter puzzles he has. Rather than having him get frustrated by trying to get the letters in the spot by himself, I point out the spot for him, as he's still too young to do it without frustration, and since the goal is to learn the letters rather than fine motor skills, that's what works. My recommendation for families with young children is to purchase this puzzle.
It's so adorable that the letters are magnetic. You don't want them to be too sticky so you can't move them, but they shouldn't come off either. Only thing I wish was that the "board" looked more inviting. A small curve had already formed on the faux wood sticker at the top. I don't think this is a big deal for a toy that costs less. If it were improved a little, though, it could be a nice toy that is passed on to the next generation. As well as a bag for the letters, they provide a bottle cap. This was bought for my toddler, but my four year old really enjoys it. If it holds up, it is sure to get a lot of use.
I'm having a lot of fun with this This is a very well-crafted piece. It is a good buy and a great learning tool for toddlers. The letters are brightly colored
and my little great grandson loves to put each one in its proper place on the board.
This is a very cheaply made product. Despite the 5 star reviews on this product, I find it hard to believe that it is genuine. There is no real wood in the board, it bends. It was returned and I got Melissa and Doug's chunky abc jumbo puzzle, which is made from solid wood and is handmade by craftsmen. It's only $5 more than this subpar product while still being of good quality.
Initially, I liked the idea of it and it worked for two months, but then Upon being pulled apart from the bottom, the entire top (fake wood) came apart. It'll be glued back on if I can.
While this puzzle may be beautiful, many of the letters can only be applied in one way. As an example, the H, K, B, N, Z, and S all fit in one direction. In other words, my toddler won't understand the difference between the top and bottom of the H, and he'll get upset. It is not possible to enter the S and Z upside down, although they appear to fit fine I find that they do not fit and are frustrating to my toddler due to the minute differences.
