The puzzle boards on both of these puzzles have multiple scratches, and they have indentation marks where the screws attach- ing the knobs to the pieces left their mark. A noticeable discoloration can also be seen in the images. Furthermore, I find the little shavings of "wood" all over the puzzles to be a disappointment. It looks more like cheap particle board that will corrode around the edges as it ages. I have enclosed it in quotes because it appears like wood and it is. These pieces looked really cute and I liked the size of them. I'm really bummed out about this.
acquired three of the puzzles to give to an infant visiting from out of town. In the case of one, we discovered the puzzle pieces are made from particle board, and when the pieces are placed into and removed from the base, saw dust residue is left behind. Our unfortunate experience was that by the time we tried to return these, the window for returns had closed (we missed it by two days). We now have puzzles that are still unopened but will not be used. This was an extremely disappointing experience. Normally Melissa and Doug merchandise is the best, so that's why we bought this kit to begin with.
In my experience with both my toddlers having played with them, the puzzles didn't catch their attention around one, and by the time their fine motor skills and cognitive development kicked in they found them Make your kids choose an alphabet, numbers, or shapes puzzle instead, because this way, you can teach them the ABCs, counting, shapes, and color recognition (since, essentially, all puzzle pieces have colors to be recognized. bulky and are hard to store In the end, however, what matters most is that they do not engage at any stage from 1 on Toy money is better invested elsewhere, so do not invest it in toys. You can also use the apple and worm threading toy if you already have number letter and shape puzzles. I've been using this product for years, and it always holds my toddler's attention at all age levels and is a wonderful fine motor skill development toy.
The pattern is only glued to the wood and is extremely cute, but means this puzzle is only a glued puzzle. A piece of the puzzle fell off when my son put it in his mouth! image) I was kind of disappointed and would have thought that such a high quality puzzle would have a much more durable print. The fact that it peels almost immediately is disappointing.
They're cute, but if you give these to a baby who puts everything in their mouth, the picture will peel off right away. I find that to be very toys are too boring for a toddler with only 3 pieces, so obviously they're for a baby, but they don't seem to be hand painted for baby quality or durability.
The knob is easy to grasp, and you can easily identify the animals. Although I wish they were a little easier to slide into place, my two-year-old gets a little frustrated when the pieces look right but won't fit together, but I think that is probably due to the pieces being so thick and the puzzle being As a whole, it can't be too hard to pick out a good purchase and learning tool, can it? The product is great for people with smaller babies or toddlers over 1 year of age.
I really like the way that it was It is great to have Makes it easy to handle for little hands. Children who do not put everything in their mouth would benefit from these. The 13 month old granddaughter of my sister-in-law was delighted to receive these. While she enjoys the pictures, the idea of puzzles doesn't quite make sense to her. The teeth marks on a few are unfortunate.
They were a gift for me when I turned one - I got them for one year old's first birthday, and they are exactly the right size to put into a puzzle. A chunky handle makes it easy to grasp, and the pictures are bright (on the pieces as well as on the puzzle, so the baby or toddler can match the pictures to each other). They are a big hit with him! When playing with these, make sure you supervise your child A bit of wood and paint came off a puzzle piece after my son started nibbling at one of the edges.
