The language isn't Quenya, the high Elvish language spoken on the Three, or Sindarin, the Elvish language spoken in the Third Age, but rather Black Speech, the language of the dark land (Mordor). It's written in Elvish letters (Tengwar) in a Black Speech-friendly mode. br>As Shawn Snyder points out in his response, it is purported to read.
Yes, but the metal comes from an unknown source, and the rings are quite small.
S, you're coming in:
The gold ring is a US Size 10 and the silver ring is a US Size 7.

In a nutshell, it's BREAK EVEN WORTH IT FOR THE PRICE. It astounds me how many reviewers believe that weight equals quality. Lead is a very heavy metal. I wasn't expecting solid brass at this price, and it isn't. This item is solid metal, yes, low melting point soft pot metal with a thin layer of brass electroplating for that solid brass look, then black antiquing, and finally, an overly sprayed clear coat lacquer that pooled up drippy on one side where it was underneath when they sprayed it. The mechanism was 'crunchy,' with some wheels being easy to turn and others being difficult. They didn't align the mold properly on the spindle, so when the screws were tightened, one wouldn't go into the hole, but tried and pressed on the entire thing, locking it up. They knew this at the Chinese factory, but Whomever simply left the screw loose (because it wouldn't line up with the retaining hole) and let it go, ostensibly working. br>br> And while we're on the subject of screws, They did, however, include two extra screws in case you lose one or strip it out, which you will almost certainly do if you use the ill-fitting phillips screwdriver that was also included. Use a screwdriver that is not the same as the one you are currently using. To release the collar, you don't have to fully remove the screw. br>br>Quality control on this foreign-made item is, as usual, non-existent. I hope you have better luck than I did. Thankfully, I figured out what was wrong, so I ovaled the hole to the point where it was almost breaking through, but it now works normally. Would I buy it again? br>br>Would I recommend it to others? My income allows me to spend more money on a better product if one is available. I would have paid three times as much for a less'movie prop' quality item because I enjoy puzzle boxes and other similar items. UPDATED! br>br> Another star falls from the sky. On the same day that I gave it to my son, the opposite end cap fell off! It's held in place with some kind of cheap glue. My son will clean it up and use slow set JB Weld to ensure that it does not come off for no reason. I can't believe what I'm hearing!.
The code is easily customizable, adding to the uniqueness of this item. The item provided a lasting memory of one of the most memorable days of our lives for a reasonable price. It's something I'd strongly suggest.
I bought this as a clue for a scavenger hunt and hid the key inside; I have yet to try changing the password, but it works perfectly with the default password. I wouldn't use this bad boy to protect world treasures, but if you're just scavenging, it'll do the trick. My only criticism is that I wish it came with instructions, as it took me a minute to realize the instructions are only available on the product's Amazon page. Overall, it was well worth the money spent!.
It's a nice gift because it's made of sturdy materials. My husband loved it when I gave it to him as a birthday present. It came in a bag with the box inside, and I gave him hints as to what the code was to open it, and he figured it out fairly quickly because my hints were too good. However, it is substantial and heavy. Except for the larger ring for my pinky, the rings were too small to wear; however, if you're interested in the LOTR rings, they come with necklaces to wear them that way. Overall, I'm happy with it because it made my husband happy, and you can reprogram the phrase to open it and put whatever gift you want inside if you want to.
I placed the order, and it arrived in 5 days (I do not have Amazon Prime). A small brown bag with cloth/string handles on both sides was inside the Amazon packaging box, and an antique golden box was inside the bag. When I took it out of the bag, I noticed how heavy it was. The box is made of cardboard, but it is quite sturdy. One side is closed with a magnetic strip, which is very nice, and when you open it, you'll find a styrofoam cover that looks antique and is a dark brown color. When you remove this, you'll see a card with a ship's anchor attached and a spiritual verse written on it, which is a nice touch! When you remove it, you'll see the Cryptex. It appears to be exactly as shown in the photo. When you take it out, you'll notice how heavy it is. It's suffocatingly crowded! I pressed the ILOVEU button, and it opened. The whole thing has a high-end feel to it. The dials are smooth and the construction is sturdy. When I first opened the Crytex, I saw two rings, one gold and one silver, through a heart-shaped window in the cyclinder. The gold ring is the biggest, and it's a replica of the LOTR ring! I'd prefer they were made of metal, but they're made of plastic. They do, however, appear to be fantastic. Two leather necklaces were also included in the box, allowing you to wear the rings around your neck. Nice!br>br>I read the instructions for changing the Cryptex password and, while they seem simple enough, I'm not going to try it just in case I mess it up. I don't think my girl friend will be able to figure out that the code is ILOVEU. Overall, this is fantastic. br>br> It'd look fantastic on your work surface! This item has made me extremely happy and impressed. The money was well spent.
dependable and well-made The Mrs. loved getting the earrings I bought separately in it because it was a well-made item that was hefty and substantial in the hand. br>br>Intriguingly, I received a sympathy card in the mail; I'm not sure how appropriate this is for such a situation. And the "Rings of Power" from The Lord of the Rings are, at best, children's rings, but they're free extras, so I'm not including them. It's a one-of-a-kind way to deliver a note or a small trinket. br>br> If your recipient is a fan of steampunk, the Cryptex is a must-have. However, even if they aren't, it's still pretty cool.
Cu do's. I was completely taken aback. When you open it, you'll find "Lord of the Rings" inside, as well as a lovely card with a lavender sprig. The two rings are held by two necklaces. It just keeps going. This is well worth the time and effort. It's also a great "non-gag" item to pass down through the generations. Maybe even include a mystery element in it.
This was required for a puzzle hunt/escape room series that I was working on. br>Beautifully crafted, it has a solid feel to it. It performs admirably. br>I deducted a star for the included rings (one gold, one silver, based on the Lord of the Rings films). 1 silver) were scuffed, and the device came with no instructions. br>However, I was able to figure out how to change the combo fairly quickly, so it wasn't a big deal, and I didn't need the rings. br>This is a device that I would strongly recommend.
