Melissa & Doug Fresh Mart Grocery Store Play Food and Role Play Companion Set

I had been debating whether or not to order this product for the past two months, and I finally did so after Christmas on January 1, 2019. Despite reading multiple reviews claiming that the boxes in this set were cardboard, I eventually caved and purchased it, despite reading multiple reviews claiming that the boxes in this set were cardboard. There are a total of 7 cardboard boxes, including butter, broccoli florets, cake mix, cereal, rice, sandwich cookie, and spaghetti boxes. The boxes are made of a fairly thick cardboard material, but they aren't particularly sturdy. proof - They're simple to take out. To put it in perspective, the boxes aren't even as thick as an Amazon shipment box. This MIGHT be a good product to buy if the recipient of this gift does not have a habit of destroying or damaging toys or personal items. To be honest, this item should be worth no more than $20, not including shipping and/or taxes. br>br>In this set, there are only 5 products that are made of wood: the bubble gum pack, chap stick, granola bar, fruit leather snack accessory, and check-in bag out-of-lane sign (one side reads "Next Customer," while the other reads "Lane Closed"). Despite their high quality, none of the wooden items are wider than 6 inches. The grocery list, employee of the week sign, magazine, hours of operation sign, gift, savings and credit cards, and various coupon items are all made of bendable but durable plastic. Unless scissors are used to cut them, they will not easily tear. These products met my expectations quite well. On the back of each of these items is a list of contents. These items can be written on with a washable marker and then removed with a damp item like a baby wipe. br>br>The grocery bag is small but suitable for a toddler or small child, and it appears to be made of the same material as a reusable shopping bag. br>br> The apron is small, but it's also suitable for a toddler or small child, and it includes a name tag. The name tag is also made of a tough plastic. These items were satisfactory to me. br>br>There are two hard plastic cans included in the set as well. a can of alphabet soup and a can of tuna fish Both are well-made, and the tops can be taken off. br>br>The set also includes a variety of $20, $10, $5, and $1 bills and coins, which I didn't have time to count before my son added them to the cash in his fresh mart stand's register. The coins are made of hard plastic, are small, and are well-made with attention to detail. wise. br>br>If I had to say whether or not I would buy this again, I would say no, and I would not recommend it. I would feel better about this product if the 7 boxes were made of lightweight wood or durable plastic (of course, ensuring that the boxes are not too heavy for children to play with or carry in their grocery bag). I also believe that this product should be automatically included with the fresh mart grocery stand, as it costs way too much to sell as a standalone product when it is mostly made of plastic and flimsy cardboard. br>br> While using the role-playing game, kids can fill up five grocery boxes. Playing with items with other kids helps them develop strong social skills. "How is this kind of role play possible and enjoyable with flimsy cardboard boxes?" This product's overall usefulness was harmed by the cardboard components.

As my headline suggests, I believe this item is required to complete the Fresh Mart Grocery Stand, but I am not overly fond of everything it contains or the fact that some of these items are sold separately. The Pros: br>br>The Pros: br>br>The Pros: br>b
- The "Grab and Go Favorites" plastic piece that attaches to the side of the Fresh Mart Grocery Stand is without a doubt the best part of this set; it's adorable! It has a thickly laminated (read: waterproof) (read: waterproof) (read: waterproof) (read: waterproof) ( WOODEN gum, chapstick, granola bar, and fruit leather; WOODEN magazine (not rippable); WOODEN magazine (not rippable); WOODEN magazine (not rippable); WOODEN magazine (not rip and gift cards hung from the ceiling This piece, I believe, contributes to the Stand's adorable nature.
- The grocery tote from Fresh Mart. It's cute, well-made, and big enough to hold a lot of stuff. The Bad: It dangles nicely at the end of the Stand. br>br>The Good:
- The dollar bills should be laminated, in my opinion. My daughter ripped nearly half of them the first time she played with them.
- I like the concept of the coins and how realistically sized they are, but they are far too small for my two-year-old daughter. We've put them on hold until later. br>- The cardboard boxes have a flimsy, low-cost feel to them. They could be more durable, in my opinion. Some of them are too big to fit on the shelves. - Basically, I'm irritated that the Grab and Go Favorites were not included in the Fresh Mart Stand. It's an OUTSTANDING compliment. While all of the other accessories (grocery tote, money, apron, and food items) are necessary to fully enjoy the Mart, they do not have to be Melissa and Doug products; you can use whatever accessories you want! Any tote would look nice hanging from the hooks, and any food items would fit on the shelves, but not every piece would fit snugly onto the Stand to hold those conveniences.
- If the Grab and Go hanger was not included, this set would be much more marketable. Consider the following scenario: As a present, I had bought a Learning Resources cash register. I wanted to pair it with this accessory set (tote, apron, money, and food), but I didn't think I could because of the Grab and Go piece that couldn't be used. Everything else could go with any other cash register toy, but due to this piece, this set is only compatible with the Fresh Mart.
