I'm not sure if the material is rubber or plastic, but the food is bendable, as evidenced by the lettuce and peppers. The bend in the other pieces isn't there. The set is well-made and does not resemble cheap plastic toys. I bought this set along with a few others and am very pleased with the food's quality, texture, and color. I run a home daycare and clean the food on a regular basis, and it's very easy to clean. This set is a hit with my daycare kids, and I love it as well.
Hi M. Hook - Thank you for getting in touch with us. PVC is used to make the following items: Leaves of lettuce, spinach, sliced yellow peppers, cucumber slices, tomato slices, and carrot crinkles I hope you find this information useful. Thank you very much! Selene
It is non-toxic, phthalate-free, lead-free, and BPA-free, according to the manufacturer. It is mercury-free and complies with all applicable safety regulations in the United States. Thank you very much.
I'm not sure if this toy contains BPA - sorry! What I CAN say is that this toy is well-made, realistic, and a favorite among my eight grandchildren (ages 20 months to eight years). When they come into our playroom, the first thing they do is start making salad. I actually purchased two more sets so that the kids could prepare salads at home.

I really like the design; it's very realistic and eye-catching. I hoped that the gift would bring joy to the recipient. It will, however, be returned due to the fact that it is made of PVC, which contains carcinogens. PVC is something that parents do not want their children to come into contact with. br>It would be very helpful if there was a statement on the package that said "contains PVC," so we wouldn't find out after we bought it.
There are a total of 12 lettuce leaves. 8 peppers, cut in half a total of four tomatoes Cucumbers, four Carrots (four) 3 different shades of blue. 1 tong and a large orange bowl.
I was going to buy the Melissa and Doug salad, but the price went up just as I was about to buy it, so I went with this one instead. I'm glad I took the chance! This thing is tough, and it's the item in my son's kitchen that gets the most use. Even a child's pretend biting leaves no marks on the food, which is made of tough rubber. It's not as flimsy as felt leaves, and it doesn't collect fur from our many pets. He adores the tongs. br>br> After I showed him how to grip them lower, he appears to be able to use them effectively. The bowls are particularly appealing to me. Sorting and counting are a breeze with them. It includes four tomatoes, four carrots, four cucumbers, eight yellow bell peppers, six dark lettuce leaves and six light lettuce leaves, tongs, a large salad bowl, and four small blue bowls. It's enough to make a fantastic salad for two!.
We bought 14 items from them as Christmas presents for our children. As a teacher, I'm a big believer in pretend play. It is critical, in my opinion, because most of our preschoolers lack the ability to engage in pretend play and are forced into early educational reading and math standards before their fine motor skills are fully developed. Learning Resources offers excellent value for money products that are durable, washable, and well-made. made, and fantastic if you have a wide range of ages in your family like we do. Despite the fact that I only have one- year- I believe the parts are not small enough to pose a choking hazard with the play foods for my two-year-old son. Some of the sorting toys are a little smaller than others. Almost every type of sorting toy and pretend play food is available in our playroom. Any product from this company is highly recommended. These are the kinds of toys I keep for a long time and pass on to family members who have children, or save for my own grandkids in the future. They aren't throwaway items that will end up in a resale shop in a year or two. My first two oldest children's learning resource toys have been saved for over 15 years. This is a fantastic firm.
They are realistic and long-lasting. High-quality materials were used! I initially placed an order for the salad kit, expecting the unusual Melissa to arrive. I was completely blown away by the Doug type kit! This brand, in my opinion, outperforms the more expensive brands due to lower prices and greater variety. The soup kit, as well as the BBQ grill, are fantastic. Some kits have age recommendations that start at 18 months (most likely to demonstrate their safety standards), but don't let that fool you. They're also appropriate for older children. I bought it for my almost-six-year-old daughter, and she absolutely adores it! In the future, this brand will undoubtedly be my first choice for gifts!.
Keeps 2. So cute to keep a five-year-old occupied for hours! My 2. This is something that my 5-year-old son enjoys. I like how she's playing with vegetables and having a good time with them. We get salads and lettuce sandwiches, and that's the food she plays with the most, in the hopes that it will encourage her to eat more in real life. I debated between this and felt or wood, and I'm glad I went with this. It's durable and doesn't make a lot of noise when she drops it. We had to make sure it was cute enough to have it out because we were in a condo, and it did not disappoint!.
The product is a great flexible plastic that will last for a long time and is simple to clean when necessary. Because there were so many missing pieces, I only gave it a four star rating. I would have preferred that the missing pieces be sent, but I had no choice but to return the item for a refund. That was a huge letdown. Granddaughter wanted to keep going despite the lack of food, but she couldn't because she couldn't eat it all. It's simply not enough to have only 8 pieces for four bowls. There were supposed to be 38 pieces, but only 14 were delivered. I'm so disappointed!.
I really like the new sprouts set. It comes with a lot of pieces, and I don't have to wait until my child is three to use it! It's presented in a very attractive manner. The set's quality, detail, and color selection are all in line with my expectations for the price; my only complaint is that it does not include forks. Who in their right mind eats a salad with their fingers?.
