Questions & Answers
The felt is a great choice for 2 year olds. I have both the wood sandwich set and the felt. In my opinion, it's great to have both.
It must have been more than a year ago that I gave these felt food pieces to my granddaughter, now 3. They have been one of her favorite toys for months. For the first few weeks, she cooked a lot of food and served it to mom, dad, and grandma. In any case, this issue has been lingering for a long time It is a term favorite though they are quite dirty despite a lot of making of sandwiches. The following is my recommendation.
They will only need to be hand-washed in cold water and laid out to dry flat. Fabrics such as felt are fragile.
In addition to the United States, our products are made in other countries as well. Made in China, this product is a good buy.

Our little one keeps thanking us for it and says that she is "so happy" about it! Birthday wishes (Covid morning, she prepares sandwiches to order and sets up the picnic blanket on the living room floor. There is plush 'bread' and a heavy weight of felt in the felt. The hundreds of Melissa and Doug food items I've enjoyed over the past year haven't made me gain any weight, fortunately! I don't want to go out on a wet day!.
There are plenty of opportunities for pretend play with this set. Sturdy and beautifully crafted, the pieces are a pleasure to own. I'll tell you what it is. Make a reusable menu by cutting out the block of paper with the itemized pictures from the back, glueing it to a sturdy cardboard, laminating it, and then using dry erase markers. It is much more fun for the kids to take orders that way! As we gave her increasingly challenging sandwich orders, we also used this lesson to teach her to listen carefully as we gave her orders without a menu. With this set, you can have a lot of fun and learn a lot.
Christmas morning was a total hit with this set! The two sets I bought for the kids should have been two. It's an error! There is no way this 5 year old would put this down! He would do it all day long! buns and breads are of great quality, fluffy, soft, and made with high quality ingredients. I thought the items to go on the sandwiches were brilliant! Many options to choose from, and bacon for a BLT is also an option. The fact that I adore this one so much makes me more likely to purchase another. We appreciate having you here, Melissa & Co. This is the best imaginary play I have ever seen!.
There are only two things I don't like about it and those are the sandwich slices (plain and toasted) because they are filled with a stiff puffy material and they had indentions when they arrived so they aren't smooth bread slices. This is something my baby will enjoy for at least 6 years, so it's well worth the purchase (I expect she'll play with it through kindergarten).
I bought this set for my kids and they love it! Our children are almost 3 and 5 years old and are big into play kitchens right now, which they usually use for pretend play and for making meals for one another. In my spare time, I do a lot of DIY. It seems I go on Pinterest a lot more than I would like to. A few days ago I sat down one day to write down the supplies I needed to make my children's play kitchen, and I had all kinds of felt food, toys, and other things in mind. I'm not kidding when I tell you how fast it adds up. Felt, batting, paint, fabric stiffener, thread, needles, buttons, beads, and so on. What if you then have to find all of that at the store, pick it up, and then make them yourself? The idea of having three kids just wouldn't work. Thankfully, there is Melissa and Doug to help us out! The pieces in this set are very detailed and come in a lot of different sizes. As well as the quality, the product is excellent. These are heavy, stiff and sturdy and have so far held up very well.
Rather than fall apart as do plastic sandwiches, these real sandwiches look realistic. There is only one thing missing - the menu card that comes with every other Melissa & Doug product A complete set of dog products, starting with a groomer and ending with a juicer. It's easier for me to stay on top of the pieces with these cards. Instead, I cut the cardboard for the contents of the container since there was no menu card. It works okay, but it's not durable so I don't let my kid touch Although the price is relatively low, you do get a lot for your money. I think this feels set is more influential and valuable than other felt sets As well as being fun to play with, it teaches children what sliced meats and vegetables look like, which is a good thing because there is not much out there that does that, other than making them disassemble real sandwiches.
As soon as I opened them, I wasn't sure what to expect! I am not yet a toddler so I have no idea how much fun it is for you. A 2 year old girl in my family is going to enjoy them. It's not unusual to see her playing with it for a long time, stacking each piece and singing. It is also a favorite of my six-year-old son who is enjoying playing with it. In the box are suggestions for what activities you can do to teach your child about the food groups and so on. My son had fun analyzing each piece and making sandwiches for me. It was hard to tell what some of the items were at first glance. Playing with this is very enjoyable for my 2 yr old daughter as well as my 6 yr old son.
There's no way I can complain about this product since my 2 year old loves it. It really is a perfect fit for her in terms of motor skills, colors, etc. This being said, some of the pieces are thin, plain, flat, and made simply from felt cut in an oval or circle. I wonder why people would buy an item like that every single time. To top it off, you have to look at the guide on the back of the card to figure out what some of them are supposed to look like. In the context of education, that doesn't exactly make them useful. In the end, the value here will depend on what the purchase is intended to accomplish. Is it merely a fun toy for young kids who don't have any sense of ownership? Yes, this is just what I was looking for. Anything else I could add? There may be some disappointments if you expect it to meet expectations entirely.
